The university is rich in diversity, and with that in mind, people in attendance need to be adaptable to different situations. The acceptance of others and the freedom to express yourself are widely practiced within campus life. People who are progressive in their views of the world around them will have an easier time making friends and becoming invovled on campus. Overall, a person who is kind and respectful of differences should attend my school.


This school is ideal for very outgoing, sociable people who don't have trouble really reaching out in large groups. It can be difficult to find your niche among such a huge student population, and it's vital that you immediately start talking to people, signing up for things and putting yourself out there from day one. There are a lot of opportunities for it, but shy students and those accustomed to a more personalized environment will have some trouble inititally.The main thing to keep in mind is that everyone is in the same boat socially!


The kind of person that should attend this school would be people who can adjust to a large campus. There are many opportunities available to you here but you have to be willing to find it. You need to be able to be independent and not rely on counselors for advice and guidance. You will be on your own eventually here. Even though this is true I love this school and I am grateful to be a student at the University of Texas at Austin.


Hard-working people should attend this University. There's no room to slack off. If you don't study enough, your GPA will suffer. It's a very difficult school so if you don't know how to study, it will be very hard to do well.

I feel anyone can attend UT Austin. The school is very liberal and accepting of many different people of many different backgrounds. UT has a wide variety of majors, making the school an easy choice for people with many different interests. This school is definitely one of the most diverse and friendly campuses that Texas has to offer.


The type of person that should attend the University of Texas at Austin are students that are interested in bettering their life through education. These people should be opend minded to the diverse cultures UT has and the mind set each individual at the school has. The students should also love a challenge, because UT is a tier one school it is considered one of the more challenging universities. However, even though UT is a difficult school, it is not an imposibility to graduate. But, it is not for the faint of heart either.

Someone who is dedicated to his or her education and wants to make a difference in the world should attend UT. UT offers a wide range of degrees but you have to be willing to work hard for them. You have to be willing to study for at least 4-6 hours a day on top of classes and extra curricular activities. The University has high standards for all of its students and provides all of the resources necessary to do well.


I think UT has a lot to offer to any kind of student. However, coming from a large high school (4000+ students) I was comfortable finding my way in UTs large population (50,000+). A student from a smaller environment might have more trouble adapting. If you're interested in being in a diverse environment, and would like to have the opportunity to meet and study with students from all over the world this is the place for you! This part of UT has allowed me a truly global perspective, which is a fantastic quality in this globalized world!


An outgoing personality would thrive in "a city that never sleeps." The ultimate college experience inhabits the city of Austin, Texas. WIth the many bars, eateries, activities (shopping, river-rides, the bat caves, etc.), it's impossibe to get bored!


Anyone can attend this school. It is extremely diverse, with all kinds of races/ethnicities, social groups, ages, genders, etc. It is a huge school and offers something for everyone.

Austin is full of every kind of person imaginable. The University is full of hard-working and driven people. It is a challenging school; however, there is always something to do. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, whether it be Greek life, intramurals, or a school sponsored organization. The city of Austin never sleeps; it is full of music, art, museums for the musician, artist and traveling enthusiast. This area is considered majority liberal; however, there are many opportunities for all students of all races and backgrounds, all religions and all schools of thought.


People who can handle large classes and big cities, I see a lot of people who seem overwhelmed when they first got here. My graduating class in high school was nearly 800, which is a fraction of UT but I felt like I was better prepared for the experience than some people from small schools. Overall it is a great school and there is something and someone for everyone to enjoy and get along with!


A person that is able and willing to work really hard, studying, and staying attentive in lectures. A person that stays studying 2 or more hours a class and will read and do all the course assingments.


From my experience, anyone and everyone looking at college should at least give this college a try. Some applicants may have a preconcieved notion of a "liberal" campus, but people of all kinds of beliefs and backgrounds come here anyway.


Someone who is looking for a campus that is not focused on partying or being on a large party campus. Our school is laid back but we can still have a great time. Students are dedicated to working hard.

It's important to be the kind of person that is able to comprehend and apply the information and knowledge that is learned in class - memorization is not enough.


The University of Texas is extremely large and the city is primariy centered around the campus and the college students so one must be fairly outgoing in order to attend such a big university. However, there are so many opportunities on campus and in Austin, that pretty much anyone can find something that interests them.


One who is comfortable with oneself should attend this school. UT is a huge college full of an unimaginable variety of students. Each has something to offer, and what makes the college so special is that everyone enjoys offering their own perspectives and ideas. We like people who will stir the pot and incite discussions or even a little controversy.


The kind of person that should attend this school is one who is willing to go the extra mile in his studies. Studying alot but not going one hundred percent won't get you anywhere here at my school. The type of person that should also attend this school is one that is comfortable with diversity as well as taking class with three hundred or more students. The student shall be able to adapt to a school that is humongous with buildings everywhere.


The kind of person that should attend this school is someone who wants to achieve and is willing to work hard. The University of Texas is not an easy school and slackers will not survive here.

It is also a very intelligent city and general knowledge, as well as knowledge of current events, is very helpful in starting new relationships.

If someone wants to attend the University of Texas at Austin, they must be very knowledgeable, school spirited, and outgoing. The school is definately very competitive and one of the best in the U.S. You must be ready to face a difficult challange of rigorous coursework, and must show lots of school spirit and pride in all sports and extra-curricular activities. You must explore and see what Austin, Texas has to offer you.
