What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish i had known alot about this school before i came. This includes me wishing that i knew that this school didnt have campus dorms. They give you options of finding apartments near the school. given the fact that this school is a commuter school. Also they dont have a meal plan, they have nearby fast food places, and gives you many options. But i feel many students would save more money if they had a meal plan included with their tuition.

How small it really is! This school also need much more diversity and groups to join. I liked how flexible the school is with class schedule but this also keeps the students away from the school. This school is much more for people who are working full time and have a busy life. It was just recent when they began to do more on campus events and reach out to student involvement.

If I could go back in time to high school and talk to myself, I would have done things differently. Knowing what I know now about college life , my advice to myself would be to take things more seriously. I would have ceased every opportunity I could to make myself a better candidate for collegel. I would have participated in more extracurricular activities to become more rounded person. I took two college courses while I was in high school, I wish that I would have taken more because I could have been further ahead when I began in 2006.

I wish I had known to join study groups! Boy was this semester more challenging than the ones I had completed at CCBC (the nearby community college)! Next semester, I'll know to study with others to make the grade rather than tyring it alone. I'm sure it'll make for a better overall college experience.
