Kristin

Students interested in attending UGA should be outgoing, friendly, and hard-working. There's a deep sense of school spirit and pride amongst the students, and anyone who loves cheering loudly in the stands at sporting events will definitely fit right in. Many opportunities for students to get involved with the campus exist, so students should attend who want to take advantage of the large variety of activities at UGA, from on-campus jobs to academic tutoring to dozens of extra-curricular clubs and organizations. Above all, potential students should be academically-focused and committed to succeeding in the classroom.

People who should attend UGA are those people who are self-motivated and driven to go after the best education possible. UGA is the kind of school that you are going to get out of it what you put into it-- if you want to party, you can do that, but if you want an education, you can do that, too.

A UGA student is the epitome of a true southerner-- they are genuine, warm, open, and friendly, and they love SEC football! They can successfully balance a strong social life with their academic work. Some come to UGA with an open future; they're unsure as to what they want to do with their life. Others come ready to jump into their major. UGA accommodates both groups of students. Most UGA students actively create their own niche in the big campus by participating in extra-curricular groups/activities such as student government, the Greek system, or a faith-based group.

Anyone who is willing to work hard to get good grades, likes to have fun and be involved, and someone who does not mind walking up hill a lot! It is expensive to pay for tuition, room and board, and extra activities such as organizations or sororities/fraternities. It's very hard to have time for a job on top of school work with participation in extra activities or volunteering organizations, so another important factor for someone attending school here is that they can afford it either by parents, college savings, or many student loans if paying for school themself.

Kristen

Anyone who is interested in getting a great education and meeting friends for life.
