The overwhelming southern hospitalty and open arms, its truly a place of friends, you just have to open up and being welcoming to a helping hand.

Having small schools within the larger school, so I can focus on research but still be a part of the community as a whole.

Just the fact that my school has a down-home feeling about it. Sure , it is a huge school that has received numerous academic and athletic accolades over the years, but when I go onto that huge campus, I feel comfortable and not overwhelmed by everything. The campus gives me this feeling because it is well grounded in its programs and the people are willing to work together and lift each other up when trials come around.

The best thing at our school would be the large campus and the diversity of students. The landscape and buildings and historical monuments on campus are beautiful; I enjoy and prefer to walk to my classes rather than taking the bus to appreciate the University of Georgia. There are so many people on campus from different places giving our school's population diversity.

The best thing about the University of Georgia are the multitude of opportunties towards one's interest. Whatever your heart's desire might be there is a group, class, or organization for you. The opportunities are so valuable.

It is a great environment with lots of school spirit. The campus is great and really encompasses a college community.

Research oppurtunities

It's a very liberal, easy to fit in place with enough going on that everyone always has something they can do.

The school spirit. I was definitely drawn to the University of Georgia because when I came to visit here I fell in love with the campus! Some others would say that when you go to school here you're just a number but I completely disagree. Everyone that goes here is so friendly and the campus is very inviting. There is also a nice amount of diversity amoung students, majors, and values here. Plus we get to root on the Georgia Bulldogs every saturday!

The football games on Saturday, when alumni and students join together to cheer on our bulldogs.

There is so much to do, so much to see, not only on campus, but around Athens as well. Most students don't take advantage of all that Athens has to offer.

There are thousands of people here, which can sound overwhelming, but really means that it is fairly easy to find a social group that you like. There are people from most walks in life. The dorms and the dining halls make initial socializing very easy, and the various activities around campus make it easy to find people with similar interests. I am probably most attached to my social life here. If it weren't for the people that I know and my life outside of school, I would consider transferring.

The Social Atmosphere and the Great Sucess of its Athletic Programs

The energy surrounding the campus during the day, at night and on weekends. Especially in the fall when football games are in town, Athens becomes a huge social scene with everyone dressing up for the Dawgs. At anytime during the school year, there are always people around ready to hang out or have fun.

Greek Life, Education, Connections, Town, Music Scene

The best thing I consider at this school is the way the academic field. Not only does UGA offer a wide variety of subjects and courses, but the system used to organize the courses is outstanding if not perfect. Programs such as webct and oasis make it incredibly easy for students to register for classes, keep up with coursework, and communicate with other students. Not only can a student ask a teacher for help, but can ask any other student in the same class for help on the webct discussion board.

This tree is very famous in the Athens community. People even have to drive around it to get where they're going. It owns itself because a former owner wrote a deed that it was to be taken care of.

This cemetery is located right outside the football stadium and is the resting place to many notable people.

The classes. Hands down. There are an incredible number of equally great classes to take here. Foreign languages that I had never even heard of are offered on a regular basis included Bengali and Swahili. I could have taken a freshman seminar on how medicine works or exploring the life and writings of Flannery O'Connor. Whether you're interested in going to law or medical school, or becoming a farmer or teacher, UGA offers classes that will set you up for success. Academic advisors and faculty are here to guide you through the decisions of which classes to choose.

The best thing about my school is the size of the student body because it gives me the opportunity to meet lots of people from different places and with different opinions. I enjoy talking to people and learning what they thing about different issues.

The best thing about my school is that most of the professors who teach here are professionals and enjoy the subject they teach. That enthusiasm gets passed down to students, who also get excited about the material. It's easier to learn when you enjoy what you are learning and you are learning from someone who enjoys what they teach.

School spirit, as well as the beauty of the campus.

Athens is a great town - great food and music. The campus is beutiful, lots of trees & greenery & old buildings.

The access to nearly everything a student could want is readily available, from programs to activities to education.

It has a great classics department, which is exactly what I want.

The research opportunities give me a good sense of what my career will be like. It also allows me to make progress along with the professors and stay up to date on the information.
