Describe the dorms.

Students in dormitories tend to keep their doors open. I visited my boyfriend quite frequently last year and all of his neighbors kept their doors open. The environment was friendly and welcoming. Everyone on his floor remained friends after freshman year, and even created a Facebook group to keep in touch! I thought that was pretty cool.

I lived in the dorms for two years and loved it. They may not look the nicest, but it's where you meet a lot of your friends. It's great to be able to walk down the hall and find people to talk to and hang out with. Especially as freshmen, everyone is friendly and trying to meet people. As far as security goes, you need to swipe with your ID to get into the building. Then you may also have to swipe to get onto your floor, and then use your key to lock/unlock your door.
