The worst part of my school would probably be the traffic and the negative association as a party school. While partying is a part of any college campus and is an enjoyable and important aspect of you college memories, the negative stigma as a party school can dampen peoples opinions. Most people around in the community have a strong sense of pride for the school. But as you venture else where others may be quick to judge without thinking of the many other aspects that make this place a great school.

People are here for the culture in Miami, not the academic aspect of the university. The university focuses on few academic areas and essentially ignores the rest.

I have only been here for a short amount of time, but everyting seems great. I would say that some classes have quite a lot of students though.

Prospective students interested in the University Of Miami should be prepared to be patient when settling in to their new school. Many and most freshmen at the University Of Miami often find their group of friends within the first couple of months of the first semester; however, there is still a portion of students that need a little more time to adequately feel welcome to the University. At times, there can be a sense of superficiality among the students at this school, but this is easy to overcome once one finds their type of crowd.

The worst thing about the University of Miami is probably the tuition. It is very costly beause of the University being a private University. However, there are many opportunities to get a scholarship through the school and even get a work study through the school. Even though the tuition is high, the University of Miami will do its best to help out with any money related issues.

The worst thing about the school is probably the administration. They only get things done if you demand in person (sometimes repeatedly) that people do things. It can cause a lot of problems and delays, especially with processing financial aid.

The parking, and attendance costs are rediculous!

The worst thing about my shcool is like all Ivy-League schools or academically challenging school, the studnets are nutured to survive not live.

The parking situation at UM is pretty bad. If i get there ten minutes late i have to park across campus. Also the fact that we dont have a football stadium on campus like alot of other universities.

The worst thing....The worst thing would have to be the humidity(really really bad humidity even compared to my home an hour North), and a large freshman population of kids who seem here more for the South Beach life than for the academics. They seem to be weeded out more in the higher years though, so it's ok.

The cost. The tuition is very pricey and all the fees that are added are too much. Of course,going into a private University we're aware it will be expensive but it's too much.

The worst thing about my school is the price. Every year, total cost of atteandance is somewhere around $50,000. The finanacial aid packages are decent but it could be better. It helps take some of the burden off but the tuition, room and board, fees and prices of books can really put a dent in your pocket. Its a great school and provides many oppurtunities but the price you pay is a bit excessive.

The worst thing at the University of Miami is the older buildings. Some of the buildings are outdated and need to be repaired or rebuilt.

As much as I love going to the University of Miami, attending a private school in one of the most expensive cities in America probably wasn't the best decision I could've made in terms of my cash flow situation. Miami gives very generous scholarships to all incoming freshman based off of your academic success in high school, but the remaining cost is still rather expensive. I personally have found it hard to find other forms of aid and the Office of Financial Assisstance are not always too helpful. In the end, it's worth all the money though.

Worst thing about the U is that it is too expensive. Most students like me had to take every loan available and are probably still paying for them.

The school expenses is the worse thing about my school, because even though it has a good program the price is overwhelming.

The worse thing about my school is probably finances because if you have to plan for anything years ahead of time, it's finances. If you don't plan, you'll be in a world of trouble if you don't have scholarships or grants.

The worst thing about my school is the amount of student with a lack of academic focus. Being in Miami, there is a large amount of partying all times of the week. Many kids get lured into the party scence and it is hard to do work and keep focused when so many of your friends are out partying. A student at my school needs to have extreme motivation to do work instead of getting distracted by the availability of round the clock partying and beach weather.

The cost and the lack of facilities for some of the sports clubs. Both are self-explanatory.

The worst thing at the school is the dorm space and the dining hall hours. The food should be better.

Because it's in a city, most activities were off campus and not school related.

People are nice, but they aren't particularly deep.

For me, the worst thing about my school is that it's so far from my home. This makes it hard because I'm away from my family and friends for the majority of the year. It was hard to start over making all new friends. But I have made new friends, and overall, it's been worth it. The other thing that's hard is the cost. I have a full-tuition scholarship, but I still have to take out student loans, and I'm worried about the amount of debt I'll be in when I graduate.

The only downside to Miami is the long bus ride over to Dolphin Stadium for the football games. Because the Rose Bowl was shut down, the school now has to bus its students approximately 30 mins away for the football games.

The worst thing about my school would have to be parking. Though they are working on this there is not nearly enough parking spots as there are cars.

There seemed to be a monied feel to it because many people who went there had money.

finding time to study

The cost to attend this college is a bit ridiculous. My family doesnt have the money to pay it out of pocket so it is sometimes hard to come up with all of tuition money even with scholarships and financial aid. I could have been attending a state school and not paid anything but instead I am here taking out loans and still haveing to come up with thousands of dollars.

Parking for commuter students because there's never enough parking and the way that parking lots are set up are not beneficial to us.

The distance to dolphin stadium, and the lack of funding in certain areas.

That other people come from wealthy families so they don't have to work for their education.

It's 1,300 miles away from my home so I don't get to see my family as oftem as I would like.

The worst thing about this school is how small the meteorology program is. Because the program is so small, it has little to offer compared to Oklahoma University. It's somewhat nice to have a small program, the ability to get close to colleagues, professors, etc. but I have yet to get close to professors. The program often finds itself in the shadow of the Marine Science program as well.

The worst thing about the University of Miami, is that some students are very into superficial things such as cars, clothes, and money. The degree of superfialness varies from college to college and dorm to dorm, but it is not impossible to find, people who are more interested in intellectual things. However, it may take a little work to find them your freshman year.

The worst thing about this school is the lack of extracurricular activities for all kinds of people with various interests aside from sports and cliched college activities.

The worse thing about my school is the cost of tuition. It really costs and outstanding amount of money to go here, and although I am no poor, I may be in debt for the rest of my life after attending this university.

People weren't motivated to succeed after college.

Some students can be a little to into themselves at times. If you don't feel comfotable with so many beautiful people around you, then this is not the campus for you. Not much to complain about at the U!!!!

Sometimes people are too shallow and are only here for the social life like a lot of students in the business and communication schools.

The University is mostly weathly families while the rest are students on scholarships, making many students uncomfortable.

The worst thing about the University of Miami is that it is all bark and no bite. The image they portray to the public is not at all what you actually see. You pay a huge amount of money and can never seem to figure out where it goes. All anyone cares about is getting drunk and going to the beach. Finding someone who isn't superifical is difficult. I thought the classes would be more interesting, and I was surprised at how most of them aren't taught by real professors, but TA's or MA candidates.

A lot of student come here to party because we are in Miami. But for the rest the school is excellent.

We're excelling academically, but won't be at that next tier for a few years - but hey, by the time I graduate, we'll be there, and it will be helping me get a job.
