University of New Hampshire-Main Campus Top Questions

What kind of person should attend this school?

Sarah

An ambitious, diverse, and active student should study here. Students that are focused and well repared for class, but are able to balance time with extracurricular activites will do well here. There are many opportunities available for those who are ready to get involved with the community, study abroad, and participate in a variety of clubs and sports. There are also many extremely knowledgable faculty members who are very supporative and will assist students with achieving their goals and work towards a sucessful future. A student who is looking foward to getting the most of their education will enjoy UNH.

Emily

Someone who wants to be involved with a variety of clubs and activites, would like a liberal arts education that is not very demanding, would like studya abroad opportunities, and the opportunity to connect with certain faculty members and advisors.

Jennifer

Students attending this school should like the small town feel yet enjoy the fact that it is a large university. You have to like different seasons here, it is New Hampshire, the weather will fluctuate from hot and humid to snowy and freezing! UNH is not known for its diversity so that is something someone should take into consideration.

Danielle

Someone that's environmentally aware or willing to learn about these issues and see how small changes in every aspect of life can help the world around us.

Matthew

It depends on what you're going to school for. If you're going for liberal arts, you'd have to be a liberal and be able to deal abstract ideas and reading. If you're going for business, you have to be fairly outgoing. If you're going for engineering you have to be practical and able to wrap your head around numbers.

Tory

Anyone who wants to learn. I like that there isn't a huge emphasis on extreme academics.

Patrick

A variety of individuals would find this college appealing, from those who intend on furthering their education, and others who like to party.

Bie

An open minded person, person open to new eniviorment, open to new and different cultures, open to diversity .

Jensine

Someone who enjoys the outdoors and likes to be outside and play sports. Many people play sports on the main lawn like freesbe and football. You should be acidemically modivated and not just going to college to party. Someone who likes to have fun, but knows when it's time to sit down and focus on work.

Nina

Students who are minorities, if you attend you will learn how being a minority affects your status in life ect. People who are from the cities, probably won't like UNH, we are in the boondocks, and there's not much to do around here. Parties here revolve around beer pong/beruit, and there are little to no dance parties and when there is, the music is horrible. Academically, this school has a lot to offer. There are, I believe, six schools within the University and over 100 majors. You should be able to find something you like.
