When you step off campus what do you see?

Brian

Stepping off campus plants you in the heart of Chapel Hill, a small town with a relatively friendly community. Restaurants, bars, sports merchandise and clothing stores abound, but outside of a 50s-style drug store and a recently built Walgreens, it can be difficult to find anything else. Getting to a grocery store, mall or department store requires a car or a lengthy bus ride. There isn't too much life in Chapel Hill during the day, but the nightlife is active and game days bring massive crowds. Sadly, you will always see at least one or two homeless people when you step off campus. Other common sights include sorority and fraternity houses, fliers for upcoming concerts at local venues, runners, bikers and a small "Occupy" camp in front of the post office.
