University of Virginia-Main Campus Top Questions

UVA girls are gorgeous. Students workout a TON (it was voted healthies campus or most physically fit campus or something towards that end several years ago). It's a great time. Come visit and you'll fall in love.

If you're looking for a school that has the perfect balance of fun (whatever fun means for you) and work ethic and a school that is located in an above-average location (in terms of things to do, restaurants, etc.), then UVA is the perfect place for you. Everyone here is smart...but also very sociable and eager to do things outside of the classroom...and Charlottesville provides ample opportunities for activity outside of UVA life. Definitely the best four years of my life...and I'm sure most people would agree.

The Honor System is a MAJOR thing at UVA. Every incoming First Year is subjected to endless talks on how it works, and how serious the University takes it. Since its conception and implementation in the 1840s the Honor System has been a hotly debated issue, some swear by it and others denounce it, this debate is still in progress but the system doesn't look like it will be going anywhere any time soon, so if you come here, be sure not to lie, cheat or steal, or a jury of your peers (students) might find you guilty and throw you out of The University!

You have to visit. The place is so beautiful you'll fall in love immediately. I mean, the place is a UNESCO World Heritage sight! One caveat, if you don't like tradition, you probably shouldn't come. The traditions are dynamic; new ones are being formed and the old ones are changing, but they are important and if you don't like that, you'll be constantly fighting them.

Most beautiful campus, with the happiest students, with some of the best classical architecture in the nation in which to attend class and be overwhelmingly academically and socially stimulated!! WAHHOO WAHHH!!

Steam tunnels! Climbing on the Chem roof. (are illegal..but amazing) Streaking the Lawn is a tradition. Old Cabell Hall is really cool. Free practice rooms for musicians. Beta Bridge rox. The weather here is great. The location is wonderful and magical. The architecture is beautiful. Edgar Allen Poe went here for a semester. Beer pong. There are TONS of wonderful libraries and places to study!!! The BioPsych library is near dorms and is great. Alderman is never-ending and magical. Clark is cool.
