There's hot food at all the residence halls as well as the cafe under the undergraduate library. Convenience stores at dorms are open until 1 am! Most people flock to the cafe at the graduate library nowadays that the Husky Union Building is undergoing construction. There are also various food trucks around campus which have both hot food and snack options.

The dining options offer a flexible variety of quarterly prices for amounts of on-campus food. As far as dorm food goes, I enjoyed most of what was offered. The funds go directly into the Husky card food account, so students can conveniently purchase food anywhere on campus with their student IDs. The food is even better off campus--the Ave is full of diverse small restaurants, a few of them nicely affordable, along with a few small convenience shops. Safeway and Trader Joe's are nearby.
