There is a lot of financial aid from the school. Over 90% of the students recieve some form of financial aid whether it is grants or scholarships.

Utica College is much smaller than other schools I have considered. The faculty are very personable.

For me it was simply the fact that they had a weekend program that would fit into my work schedule, that included on-line classes.

Well, to be honest, it was the only school I applied to. But I have to say that this college was good on all counts, except for the business office. Most everyone was helpful and considerate to your needs. There was a lot of activity and a sense of community within the school.

One of the main reasons I chose UC is because the campus is close to the city where I grew up. I didn't want to be far away from home. Also, the class sizes are small compared to other college that have extremely large classes. I like having classes where the professor is available for help and one on one time.

To be totally honest, I did not have much time to compare other schools, due to circumstances beyond my control. Everything that could go wrong in my first year, did. The unique aspect which I feel sets my school apart from others is the amount of help and support I received from the staff at Utica College from financial aid to on-campus housing. With their help I was able to adjust and overcome many of the obstacles that came my way.
