Weber State University Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Caysie

Something that was really frustrating was not knowing about financial aid and how to pay it back. I never was asked to meet with a financial counselor that they have at the university compared to my master's program where they check in about once every month or so. I wish that they had better guidance with finances so that when I graduated I would have been more aware and known about how to pay back loans or any scholarship opportunities I qualified for.

I have only just begun attending, I do not have any frutrations yet

Bryson

People smoke wherever they want instead of in designated smoking areas.

The most frustrating thing about Weber State University is how unorganized they are. I have had many problems involving lost information, or incorrect information. I have had to sort out one problem multiple times. I wish they were more concerned with their students' general interest.

Megan

The school doesn't inform you of hardly anything. You really have to be on top of all of your information and you have to call in multiple times to check and make sure you haven't missed something.

shaun

sometimes there is not as much involvement in clubs or events as there could be.

Andrew

The most frustrating thing about weber state is how it is a commuter school. If a student is from out of state or is new to the area he/she feels left out scocially. Other students that had previous high school expereince stay in their clicks.

Sandee

The absolutely most frustrating thing about my school is the expense. I am blown away by the cost of my education. I am a single mother of three, and trying very hard to work, go to school and be a mom. I would be very relieved if I could have some kind of help through this difficult time.

Kiyanna

The most frustrating thing about my school is proably the parking. Right now I live in the dorms right across from the shool but when this semester is over in April I will be moving into an apartment. The school is so big and the buildings are so close together that students have to park far away and walk to class. The students can only park if there is room. Many times students have to park on the side of the road instead of in a parking lot.

Kelli

For me, the most frustrating thing about my school is that they do not offer an undergraduate history program.

Clarrisa

The most frustrating thing at my school is that there is such a long way to walk from class to class! The campus is a very big campus!

justin

Unavailibility of parking! There needs to be more student parking.

Rachel

You don't get the real feel of a college life. Probably a good 90 percent of the students work. I think a lot of kids focus is work, then school.

Erica

The most frustrating thing about my school is the fact that sometimes when you need to get ahold of a teacher to ask them a question about an assignment, they either are not in thier office at the time, or they take up to a week to answer your email. I eventually end up asking a fellow student for some advice, which normally works out just fine.

Amie

no diversity, very conservative

I have very little to complain about at Weber State University. However, I have had some frustration with the Financial Aid Office. To their credit my financial aid is always delivered on time, but it usually takes five or six phone calls or visits to the office to make sure that it is on time. I often get the run-around from the student workers, but the office staff are definitely on top of their game and it is them I prefer to work with.

Cameron

Financial Aid. The office is slow and inefficient, and they will not check with you before denying or decreasing requested aid. They are difficult to work with on either government or commercial aid, and often they do not disperse scholarships or waivers in time to avoid late fees.
