Although known for its nursing program, Widener University-Main Campus has a great accounting program with professors who truly care about you as an individual. They push you out of your comfort zone in order to maximize your future opportunities and bring out your true potential. Additionally, they encourage you to attend networking events to help you secure co-op positions and/or jobs. The accounting cirriculum is just about tailored for you to obtain your CPA license. The accounting program is probably the biggest program on campus within the School of Business Administration.
Our size. Classes are relatively small and guarantee hands on activities and teacher assistance.
The best thing about my school is the independence the univeristy has offered to every student. It is hard transistioning from childhood to adulthood and I believe that Widener give you opportunities to go out on your own and experience the real world.
The best thing here at Widener are the volunteer workers. These people help all the students and facualty get to class in a timely manner regardless of the weather. When there is a snow storm they are on the campus plowing and throwing salt as early as 3 in the morning so that the school doesnt have to be canceled that day or at the worst be postponed for a few hours then normal. They have shovels, plows, salt throwers, and even bob cats clearing the sidewalks, walkways, parking lots, and every step leading into a building. I appreciate them.
I love that the school has the right amount of students. It's not to big and it's not to small. There are less then 25 students in the classes and students are able to focus more and are able to get the one on one attention from the teacher to get the information and learn it.
The best thing about my school is the faculty and staff. The people at Widener are the best kind of people to learn from and to get to know. There is so much caring and involvement at this school it is unbelieveable. I would not have thought of a better school to attend than Widener University.
The small class size is a definite benefit, along with the instuctors being professors.....not grad students.
I consider the best thing about my school is the atmosphere they set. Widener University gives a comfortable atmosphere to learn in considering their small class sizes and great professional faculty. The other positive side is that they will give you the best experience for the real world using the latest instrumentation and techniques within your classes. Widener gives students many chances to be involved, not just in the university but in and around the community as well.
I enjoy the programs that the offer.
Once you find your group of friends, they will be there forever no matter what.
My school is small making the professors more available to students. My school has also been refurbished a great deal over the past few years, making living there easier and more comfortable for the students and residents.
The teachers are the best thing about Widener because they are alway availabel and happy to help you.
