Admissions Decisions

Decisions about who gets admitted to college and how are likely difficult for admissions officers. There are a lot of factors that go into making these decisions, and sometimes it may seem like there is no right answer.

One of the things that colleges typically consider when admitting students is their academic record. This includes things like their grades and how well they have done on standardized tests. Colleges also may look at the students’ essays, to get a sense of their writing ability and what they are interested in.

While the admissions process may be more and more competitive, it is important to remember that no one is perfect. There are always going to be students who have better grades or test scores than you, but that does not mean that you should not apply to college. There are a lot of great schools out there, and you may be surprised at how many of them are interested in admitting students like you.

So don’t give up, and keep applying to the schools that you want to go to. You never know what might happen. In the meantime, to answer some common questions, we asked real college counselors to respond. See what they have to say!
