We aren’t talking about WWE or Hulk Hogan. Collegiate wrestling is very real — and very competitive! NCAA scholarships are highly sought after, but traditional wrestling scholarships have some of the smallest recruiting budgets. There are some very competitive universities that excel at collegiate wrestling, and these school’s awards have a strong focus on an athlete’s talent and ability to impress recruiters and scouts. Luckily, with the growth of the sport and talent of athletes comes a bigger demand for wrestling scholarships. There are also scholarships available to wrestlers based on their academic achievements, financial need, and more. Be sure to check out local clubs and national organizations, like the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) for other wrestling scholarship options that may be available.
