Gya Labs’ Research Paper contest encourages students (under graduates, graduates, PhDs), professionals, housewives, soap makers, aromatherapists, and doctors to deliberate and put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard. Participants are required to research and present historical, scientific, experiential and/or informational write-ups on essential oils. The intent of organizing this contest is to harness creativity and to disseminate the benefits of essential oils and introduce it as a therapeutic choice for those who are unaware of this plant oil.
The University of Rochester awards an unlimited number of scholarships to students who have participated on a FIRST team and are enrolling as first-year students at the University of Rochester. Eligible applicants must be high school seniors and be admitted as full-time students. This scholarship is renewable for four years. The University of Rochester, in partnership with For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and
Technology (FIRST), awards an unlimited number of scholarships to students who have participated
on a FIRST team and are enrolling as first-year students at the University of Rochester. Eligible
students admitted to the University of Rochester may receive awards of $8,000 to $15,000 per year
towards any course of study. This scholarship is renewable for four years or eight semesters.
National Horticulture Foundation Scholarship Program was established to encourage undergraduate and graduate students of Horticulture/Marketing to follow a career path in the growing and marketing of foliage. Shell Company (“Shell”) offers up to $2200 annual scholarships through the Shell Associate Scholarship Program fund to students pursuing an Associate degree in a specific technical and/or craft field of study at one of the specified institutions. The scholarship can be used to pay for tuition and/or school expenses.
If the necessary criteria are met, at Shell’s discretion, a student’s scholarship may be renewed up to 3 years or until Associate degree requirements are met, whichever occurs first. Scholarship recipients are notified during the summer following their application. Renewal of the scholarship is contingent upon the student remaining qualified. The ASNT Fellowship Award provides financial support in the form of a $20,000 cash award to 5 students involved in high-quality research activities in science and technology at the graduate level (M.S. or Ph.D. candidates).
The fellowship is designed for assisting women in making a transition back into a professional career. Consequently, funds are generally not available for renewal beyond one year of support. Applicants must be a U.S. or Canadian citizens or legal residents and have completed work toward a Ph.D.
