The Freethought Arizona Scholarship is available for secular, humanist, and atheist/non-theist students in Arizona who demonstrate leadership and activism in their communities.
This scholarship is available for U.S. undergraduate students who meet one of the three eligibility classes: a beneficiary of the 100 Club of Arizona or immediate family member of a beneficiary; an immediate family member of a member of the eligible class (public safety officer or firefighter who was injured or killed in the line of duty); or an immediate family member of a member of the eligible class who met retirement eligibility of the applicable retirement system.
This award is available for international and U.S. undergraduate and/or graduate students who attend or plan to attend the University of Arizona. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and pursue a career in the environmental arena.
Female applicants who are members of the Southwest Section of Ninety-Nines (Arizona, California, Hawaii, Utah, Nevada) and are pursuing a private pilot license or advanced certificate or rating are eligible for this award.
