Adventure Ted Scholars Program

Childhood Cancer Society (CCS) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping families who are struggling with childhood cancer. From financial support to providing gifts/wish grants, our efforts support families battling pediatric cancer to maintain a mindset conducive to healing. CCS’s wish grants are fulfilled through its Adventure Ted Program. Adventure Ted is the official spokes-bear of the foundation, and he journeys around helping families overcome their challenges while maintaining a positive mindset. Within the Adventure Ted Program is The Enchanted Theme Park Vacation Experience. The Enchanted Theme Park Vacation Experience is an all-expenses paid VIP Disney/ Universal Theme Park Vacation with 5-star lodging at Give Kids The World Village for a week. Our organization receives its support requests through our vetted network of social workers at hospitals we have partnered with throughout the USA.

Bart Pitman Memorial Music Scholarship

The Bart Pitman scholarship is awarded to two high school seniors (winner + runner up) totaling $9,000 ($6000+$3000) for a keyboard scholarship. It is available to two high school seniors who plan to declare a major in classical piano or organ at a degree granting conservatory, college or university in the fall semester following graduation from high school. Two winners are selected each year. ? Applicants should be prepared to play three pieces of contrasting periods or composers from the standard classical piano/organ literature. A jury of professional keyboard musicians will select a winner on the basis of the live audition performance. Applicants must reside in or study with a teacher who resides in Pennsylvania or New Jersey. Applicants must have been accepted by an accredited degree-granting music institution at the time of application. ? The winner will be required to perform at the Delaware Valley Music Club’s Young Performers Concert on a mutually convenient date during the March college break. Winners of this award have gone on to study at Curtis Institute of Music, Juilliard, Eastman, Westminster Choir College, Oberlin, Indiana University, New England Conservatory, Esther Boyer and other fine schools of music.

Preferred Bank Scholarship

APCF was founded in 1990 by API community leaders in response to the need for alternative funding for Los Angeles-based nonprofit organizations serving API communities. Since 2011, APCF has partnered with donors such as local companies and family foundations to offer scholarship programs to financially assist students in their pursuit of higher education. All of the scholarships have an online application and recommender form that can only be found on our site. The online applications can be found at https://www.apcf.org/scholarships Application requires student to list out community service activities, disclose some family financial information, and answer 2-500 word essay prompts. The applicant must share the recommender form link with their preferred advisor for submission.

New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome Youth Scholarship

As many as 1 in 50 individuals show signs of Tourette Syndrome or other tic disorder – and most of them undiagnosed, misdiagnosed and/or misunderstood. NJCTS provides answers for these individuals and their families through referrals to programs and services, education and training so that families, peers and professionals will be better qualified to help those with Tourette Syndrome, and support of research programs so that we can find better treatments and a cure.

Schneider Electric SkillPointe Scholarship

Schneider Electric is offering a $2,500 scholarship grant for individuals pursuing training in building automation, security, IT, electrical, HVAC, construction maintenance or a building-related field. Jessamine S. Henderson Foundation Scholarship

Applicants for the Jessamine S. Henderson Memorial Adult Education Scholarship must be high school graduates or possess a General Education Development (GED) diploma. Applicants must: be residents of Somerset or Hunterdon County, New Jersey; serious about pursuing a career-related program of study; and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who have had little or no opportunity to pursue any education or training beyond a high school diploma.

NJHIMSS Academic Scholarships

Each year, the New Jersey Chapter of the Health Information and Management Systems Society offers three scholarship awards for students in a Healthcare Information Management, Healthcare Information Technology or a Clinical Informatics track. Applicants for the NJHIMSS scholarships must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral program related to Healthcare Information Management, Healthcare Information Technology or Clinical Informatics. The specific degree program is not a critical factor, although it is expected that programs similar to those in healthcare informatics, healthcare computer science and information systems, healthcare policy and quantitative programs in business administration and hospital administration will predominate.
