Washington State is home to several technology innovators, such as companies including Amazon.com, Whitepages.com, and even Microsoft’s Bill Gates. So, it’s only natural for WA residents to look to the Internet for help finding these state-specific scholarships. The Leslie Ebert Legacy of LIfe Essay/Video Scholarships is available to a current high school senior who both resides and attends high school, or is home schooled, in one of the following locations: Northern Virginia (specifically the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Clarke, Spotsylvania, Stafford, King George, and Fauquier as well as the independent cities of Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax, Fredericksburg, Manassas, and Manassas Park); Maryland (Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Charles counties only); and the District of Columbia; and plan to attend a college, university or community college in the 2020 fall semester.
U.S. high school seniors who have been involved with Becca’s Closet are eligible to apply for this award. Students must enroll full time and have an unweighted grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
This award is available for students who self-identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender or are the children of gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender persons who reside in Oregon or southwest Washington. Applicants must plan to enroll in an undergraduate program and demonstrate financial need.
The Cakes for College Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors at Cashmere, Eastmont, River Academy, Wenatchee or Westside High Schools in north central Washington State. Applicants must plan to attend Wenatchee Valley College.
The Kellen Biggar Athletic Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors at Waterville High School who have participated in school sports for at least two years.
This award is available for U.S. and Australian ESA members or relatives of ESA members who are residents of Alaska, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, or certain Australian states. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
This award is available for U.S. and international undergraduate and graduate students who are Washington residents. The student must major in physical, occupational, or speech therapy, and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
This award is available for U.S. and international undergraduate and graduate students who are residents of Washington. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
This award is available to Washington resident undergraduate students who are attending or planning to attend an eligible postsecondary institution in Washington. The students must have a family income equal to or less than 70 percent of the state median.
