Number of Awards & Eligibility: Approximately 352 awards offered annually. There will be one recipient from each state, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
  3. Must be a current high school senior who plans to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the upcoming fall semester.
  4. Must be a full-time student.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. high school seniors who plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college or university for the 2015-2016 school year. Students must submit a detailed essay that describes one outstanding, non-academic achievement they have accomplished.

Application requirements for the AXA Achievement Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letter
  • Essay
Additional Information: In addition to specific program requirements, the applicant must demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in an activity in school, the community or the workplace. Primary consideration will be given to the applicant's demonstrated achievement in a non-academic area as reported by the applicant and supported by the appraisal completed by an adult who is not related to the applicant. Consideration will also be given to other extracurricular activities in school and community, work experience, and the applicant's academic record over the past four years. Selection of recipients is made by the administrator of the program, Scholarship America, a national nonprofit student aid and educational support organization. The AXA Foundation may participate in the selection of recipients for the national awards. Selection will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, gender, national origin or disability. Consideration will be given to select a diverse group of recipients. Eligible students are encouraged to apply for all AXA-sponsored scholarships, but a student may only receive one AXA-sponsored scholarship.

Award Amount: 52 winners - one from each state, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico - are selected by AXA's non-profit partner, Scholarship America to receive one-time scholarship awards of $10,000 or $25,000. Approximately 300 students will receive a scholarship award of $2,500.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,034.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date.
