This year, there will be more Hispanic students starting college than any other minority group. College costs can be too expensive for many students, but scholarships are available. Many organizations, such as the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), are committed to assisting Hispanic and Latino students find free money for college. To qualify for scholarship money, Hispanic students should plan to show a good GPA and also good test scores. But, these aren’t the only factors for receiving scholarship money. Always check the rules and requirements for scholarships. Rosewood Family Scholarship Program

This award is available for U.S. undergraduate students who are considered a minority and planning to attend an eligible college or university in Florida. Priority will be given to direct descendants of African-American Rosewood families affected by the events of January 1923.

F.A. and Charlotte Blount Scholarship

This scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors from Forsyth County, North Carolina, who are African-American or Hispanic. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need; academic merit will be given greater consideration than financial need.

Western Digital Scholarship Program

The Western Digital Scholarship Program is available for underprivileged and under-represented students who are majoring in STEM as well as the children and legal dependents of Western Digital Employees. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Leo and Trinidad Sanchez Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is available for Hispanic high school seniors who are residents of Santa Clara or Santa Cruz County in California. Applicants must plan to major in architecture or a related field.

Chicana/Latina Foundation Scholarship

This award is available for female students in Northern California who are of Chicana/Latina heritage. Applicant must have completed 12 or more credit hours as an undergraduate or be accepted or enrolled in a graduate program, and must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher (3.0 or higher if a graduate student) at the time of application.

Library Scholarship For Minority Students In Memory Of Edna Yelland

This award is available to minority students who are currently enrolled in a graduate program related to library science. Applicants must be residents of California and/or intend to work in California upon graduation.

Rene Hernandez Scholarship

The Rene Hernandez Scholarship is available for first-generation Hispanic students who attend a high school in Travis and Williamson counties of Texas. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

SHPE Austin Scholarship

The SHPE Austin Scholarship is provided for Hispanic students who are planning to major in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). Applicants must be graduating seniors or undergraduate students at a high school or college in the Austin, Texas area. Eligible counties include Travis, Hays, and Williamson, TX.

Fiesta del Sol Guadalupe A. Reyes Scholarship

This award is for a Chicago Latino high school senior or college student who has a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

New Hampshire residents who are minorities will be considered for this award; preference is given to Hispanic students. Students must enroll in undergraduate or certificate programs of study.

This award is available for Hispanic students pursuing an MBA at the University of Washington in Seattle.
