This year, there will be more Hispanic students starting college than any other minority group. College costs can be too expensive for many students, but scholarships are available. Many organizations, such as the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), are committed to assisting Hispanic and Latino students find free money for college. To qualify for scholarship money, Hispanic students should plan to show a good GPA and also good test scores. But, these aren’t the only factors for receiving scholarship money. Always check the rules and requirements for scholarships. Wisconsin Talent Incentive Program (TIP) Grant

This award is available for U.S. high school students who are residents of Wisconsin and planning to attend an in-state or eligible out-of-state public or independent postsecondary institution. Students must be first-time freshman, demonstrate financial need, and come from a non-traditional or educationally disadvantaged background.

Mexican Citizens with Financial Need - Border County Waiver

This award is available for Mexican students who demonstrate financial need and who are planning to enroll at one of the following public Texas colleges or universities: Sul Ross State University, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Texas Southmost College, Texas State Technical College-Harlingen, University of Texas at Brownsville, University of Texas at El Paso, and University of Texas Pan American.

This award is available for Mexican citizens who are planning to attend a public college or university in Texas. The student must demonstrate financial need.

Illinois Minority Real Estate Scholarship Program

This scholarship is available for minority U.S. students who are residents of the state of Illinois. The applicant must be pursuing courses of study that will prepare him/her for careers relating to the real estate industry or will enhance the skills and knowledge that he/she currently uses as a real estate professional.

Wisconsin Minority Teacher Loan

This award is available to Wisconsin resident undergraduate and graduate students who are attending a Wisconsin college or university which offers teaching degrees. The student must be a minority, be enrolled in a program leading to teaching licensure, and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

North Carolina Hispanic College Fund Scholarship Program

This scholarship is open to high school seniors at and recent (within two years) graduates of North Carolina high schools who are of Hispanic/Latino descent. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Hollister Co. Anti-Bullying Scholarship

This scholarship is available for U.S. and international undergraduate students who have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Selection will be based on academic merit, essay responses, and evidence of the applicant's involvement in anti-bullying efforts.
