I believe that people who are not willing to work hard at studying and pursuing their goals in their academic career. Students should also be willing to accept diversity and be open to different opinions because there are so many different students that have dfifferent opinions and are from different places and it is so interesting to learn about their backgrounds.

Shannon

The type of student that should not attend this college is a student who is not outgoing. This college begs that all students be willing to go outside of their comfort zone and try new things. If a student were not willing or able to do that, they would not enjoy all that ASU has to offer.

Christian

The closed mined, anti-green person. some one who dosen't like crowds for oppertuities to make new friends. pretty much if you don't like to socialize, walk and hate warm wheather stay away from ASU.

Rachel

I think that any person can attend my school. ASU may be large, but it is also extremely diverse. Stretching across four different campuses exist different studies, extracurricular activities, and people. Any person that wishes to pursue a certain topic or major or even a person that is undecided would be more than welcome at the university. A student that wishes to follow a certain path would have many benefits because of how many experts there are teaching at the university, but also a student that is undeclared because there are so many different options that exist on the campus.

Morgan

Someone who is looking for a small campus should not attend.

Jarrod

People who are not really self-motivated should stay away from this or any college. The college life is about going to class and studying hard and CARING about the educational and college experience. Before any high school kid decides to attend this or any college, they need to make sure college is for them. Also, since Arizona State University is such a large school (67,000 students), anyone who wants the small school atmosphere should look into going to a smaller school.

Osmara

Melanie

Someone that is not willing to step out of their comfort zone in order to meet people or is not willing to get involved in the school should not attend Arizona State University. ASU is a great school and has a lot to offer but the student needs to be willing to get themselves involved and participate in the activities offered on campus otherwise they will simply be missing out on countless opportunities.

Laura

Teena

At times the education is liberal and "progressive" and I receive their perspectives in light of my more traditional, Christian views. I believe it is helpful in better understanding the theories that pervade the world in which I live,so although I may not agree with everything, it is useful for me to hear. There is much diversity and every student has and equal voice. If these different perspectives bother you, Arizona State may not be for you. Also, social life is important here so if you are looking for academics only, then keep this in mind.

The kind of person who wants to be in a small school community that is really academically focused. While such opportunities are and can be available, there are so many distractions and it feels like it's missing the essence of a school. Going here, school seems almost secondary, which I find to be a terrible thing for academically-minded students like myself. Physics majors should not come here as the department is horrendous.

Ashley

To be honest, any kind of person should attend here. There are interests, activities, classes, majors, cultures, and experiences of all kinds to be represented and acquired here. Any person would be able to communicate and interact on some level with other students or faculty. Wheather they are determined and striving to succeed, or looking for a good party and some easy classes, both ends of the specturm are respresented here. ASU is full of surprises and any student can find what he or she is looking for.

People who don't believe in coed Dormitories should not attend--All ASU dorms are coed. People who don't like others preaching to them about varying political/religious views as they walk to class should avoid this campus like the plague; preaching happens on almost a daily basis. People who don't like heat (Arizona temperatures climb above 100 degrees probably 5 months of the year) should search for colder climates. Additionally, people who avoid party schools should consider this--ASU recently ranked high on the national list of Party Schools multiple years, though its reputation is undergoing ablution.

You shouldn't attend this school if you plan on just partying all the way through it. The partying isn't everything it used to (supposedly) be and being smart in high school doesn't mean anyone will give a shit about you now. So then you'll be a drunk, formally smart person that loses their scholarship.

Students looking for a challenging school or a specific program will want to look into their individual majors to decide if ASU offers the kind of rigorous, small classes they're looking for. Often the campus feels like one big advertisement for one magazine, TV show, or housing development; the rest of the time it's a noisy construction zone or a big stage for garage bands and street preachers. Anyone looking for a small, quiet, peaceful school or can't tolerate temperatures above 110 degrees should consider another school.

Alyssa

If you're the type of person who wants to go to college just so you can say "Hey, look at me! I got a bachelors!", then this school is not for you. You should not go to ASU if you don't care too much about the rest of your life.

Leta

Most students at Arizona State are very much focused around their social lives. It is sad to say but, most of those students that I met freshman year are now living back at home with their parents going to community college. If you are a person that gets really home sick or does not like going out every weekend I would not suggest Arizona State as one of your top choices.

Raleigh

A person who should not attend ASU is a person who is going to college for purely academic reason, or to be at cut-throat school of academic competition. The academic competition is not as high here as other schools because many of the students are here to party. This school will not fulfill their need for high academic achievement.

Anyone who wants to should attend this school. But if you don't want to work hard, don't pick a hard major, for pete's sake.

The kind of person that should not attend this college is one who is not open minded. People that do not like the heat should not attend either. No one tries to push their views upon everyone else here. This is not one of the highly competitive schools so if you wanted to go to one of those asu probably isnt the best choice.
