I am currently a freshman at Auburn University, and before applying to this school I had never looked into it. Now as a student I can certainly say that attending here was the best choice I could've made. The college of agriculture is incredible, with lots of different research and extracurricular opportunities for all students. I've also enjoyed the sorority that I have joined, though I will say that not all student join oranizations and are able to enjoy their experiences here.
It is the best place to be. Everyone is so kind, and the campus is beautiful.
I have visited Auburn University in February of 2020. I was there for their honor band program and was greeted by the current students and professors. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful when I was lost since the campus was huge. I enjoyed my stay that week and enjoyed the interactions I made. I have actually befriended the flute professor at Auburn and we still keep in touch. She is extremely nice and helpful when I was looking into colleges and scholarships. I am very pleased with the overall school and loved my visit!
As a student athlete, my experience was a bit more intense than some, but I still had plenty of fun opportunities to integrate into the campus community outside of my sport! Looking back, I am extremely thankful that I made the decision to attend Auburn! The campus is beautiful and compact, my professors were kind and helpful, and the "Auburn family" environment on game day is like no other. Love the school, love the spirit. War Eagle!
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Auburn University is 80%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Mostly to not be afraid to form healthy relationships with your professors, advisors, and get involved with positive forms of extracurricular activity. It's is incredibly easy to become wrapped up in a new world when you are no longer living under the supervision of your parents, so be sure to surround yourself with good company, who will have your best interest in mind. Plan ahead and truly remember that while college is one of the best times people will ever have, it is only a small amount of time in your life and is a tool in order for you to become successful in the professional world. Be sure to read the fine print with anything you become involved in, and don't be afraid to ask a question. People who work for your university want to help you more than you think.
My classmates are all friendly people who are willing to help one another as long as they see that you are putting forth your best effort also.
the best thing about auburn are the people.. very laid back and down to earth (i transferred from an extremely snobby small private college, so its great here to me) the number of students seems too large, but it feels so small.. i swear it feels like only a few thousand go here.. biggest recent controversy was the murder of lauren burk and how our administration reacted/didnt react... lots of school pride.. most frequent student complaints are that there are not enough bars
love professors and classes... hard to get COMM classes but once youre in them theyre great..
Greek life is common. Football is extremely popular. There are many active academic clubs.
My campus has a family atmosphere that is unique to Auburn and its students. You feel at home the moment you arrive.
I have heard things like Auburn Greek life is a joke.. but I haven't heard anything else negative about the school.
Somewhat, yes, but greek students aren't even close to being in the majority.
Auburn is in a small college based town. The community accepts all the students and treats them fairly and equally. Being a part of Auburn is like being a part of a family. Football is a huge plus for Auburn and one of the most popular sports here, there is nothing like going to a college football game and feeling right in place. Not to mention Auburn is big on academics and have many accredited programs of study. This is very important aspect of getting a degree.
Auburn University is both challenging and fun.
I wish I'd known how challenged I would actually be. Because it isn't a private or ivy league school, I assumed that my classes would be easy - a breeze. But after a year, I've found them to be quite the contrary. Each of my classes is very stimulating and thought provoking, and I've had to work very hard to do well. I love the challenge, and I love the education I'm receiving.
How easy it is to get alcohol, how many bars there are around.
Auburn's campus has a very traditional, southern family feel. In my opinion, people with politically liberal ideas would not fit in very well. Auburn is dominated by southern gentlemen and polite ladies who never forget their manners. A rude or impolite person literally would stand out in Auburn's student body. However, Auburn is very welcoming and no matter what kind of person you are, you will definitely be taken into the Auburn family.
Anyone should attend Auburn, it's a great place to be! There's diversity so you can make friends with all different types of people. This is a small town so people who get really bored easily might not like it here. And people going to Auburn should probably like football. And they shouldn't mind that there is no where to park!
Parking
Fun people, Lots to do
Vet school, engineering, SEC football.
Most of them are an "all-quality" fun loving and are career oriented at the same time!
It offered the two degrees I was looking for. Architecture and Building Science
Being on campus for the Florida game and witnessing the intensity of an SEC football game firsthand was an experience I'll never forget: chants of "War Eagle" and "Go Gators" ringing throughout campus, fans arriving in campers and RV's days before gameday, and seeing the seas of orange and blue part for Tiger Walk was incredible. Experiencing gameday firsthand is a must for any Auburn student.
