What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

Tiaris

Well, my freshman year the worst thing was that it was a campus that allowed smoking, but towards the end of the year it bacame a non-smoking campus. So there isn't anything I really think is the worst thing about our campus.

The thing I consider to be worst about my school is the location of many classes to the dorms. It takes approximately 25 minutes to get from the dorms to our student center or the financial building. Most of the important buildings are considerably farther away than some of the other buildings.

The worst part of Ball State is the weather which is not Ball State's fault. The climate in Muncie is really cold in the winter and rainy often times then not. However once a person is use to the weather conditions it tends to be less of a problem and you learn to adapt.

I think the worse thing about school is the lack of diversity. Ball State likes to think that they place a focus on diversity, yet they do not really reach out to hispanic and black communities. The community in which I grew up and graduated high school from was 51{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} Hispanic, 48{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} Black and 1{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} other. Ball State was not a school that was emphasized at my high school and were rarely present during our college fair days.

The worst thing about Ball State is its location, and its resulting demographics. It is located smack-dab in the middle of the midwest, and does not attract a large amount of diverse students from other cultures. I would love to meet more exchange or foreign students, because there is so much to learn from people from other parts of the world. American students are often-times too narrow minded, and do not get the chance to see what life is like in other areas of Earth. Education is not complete if students can't compare it to something else.
