Its a commuter school and close to home, so it was the best choice according to my parents. It has a good scholarship atmosphere and not so much oriented on sports or extracurricular activites.

CSUS is ethnically diverse. You learn about different values, cultures, and traditions both in the classroom and out. Sac State feels like a medium sized university, but within your major and department it feels very tight knit; like close family and friends. I felt that this school was the best choice for me due to those two important features.

My school is very diverse and interested in the student's needs, always offering to improve students maximizing all beneficial opportunities.

They have a great Biology department that really cares, prefer for their students to succeed, and to be successful once graduated out of the school. In addition, the school has hunderds of clubs and organizations that help students to get involve and help students to be successful and to better themselves.

The faculty is outstanding! They are knowledgable and involved in their fields, and are dedicated to the sutdent. They give freely of their time, energy, and enthusiasm.

California State University of Sacrmanento is unique because it is so diverse. There are so many people that you could meet. We have a beautiful campus and a really nice staff. I like that it is in a city where you can go out and always have something to do. Something fun. Plus it is the states capitol. What better place to be at then your own state capitol?

There is a big community near by that is open to the students which also allows for us to connect with one another easily and find things we are interested in. Also since the campus is located near the river and we have an aquatics center it makes it so that the students have more options. Also it is relatively close to downtown and midtown Sacramento where a lot of the fun and interesting events happen that are either relatively inexspensive or free.

The unique thing about Sac State is that this college will give you big help to go to a better University/College. Usually people go to community college to go to a better University/College. Instead at Sac State, you can get a Bachelor's degree and continue going to a better University/College for a graduate school. Another unique thing about Sac State is that Sac State has the most threes on campus then the other California State Universities. These trees makes the campus beautiful, which grabs people's attention about this school.

It's an urban school, so it's more centrally located (in a capital city). Nice thing is is that there are many forms of transportation one can use to get to school (i.e: light rail, bus, shuttle, bike, walk, car, etc.).

The culture of the Sacramento area is so diverse and the seasons change ever so elegantly. The doors of opportunity flourish within our campuses and surrounding area!

Compared to other schools I had previously considered, my school is much larger and more diverse as well as able to offer much more in terms of academics and programs for less tuition.

I like students here in sacramento state because they are very friendly and you can find friends according to youe own interests. I also like the class rooms and one to one communication with our proffesors, some are awesome. I also love the studying groups and the enviroments are great.

Campus is close to home, my grandpa went to the school, and the campus is well maintained.

I notice that there are many programs here that can specifically train you for a career, which I think is invaluable. For example, if you are looking to become a health professional, we have great Nursing, Physical Therapy, and a Speech Pathology Programs. It is great to know where you're headed. Many other schools are research-based or offer primarily liberal arts degrees, which can leave a student feeling lost at the end of their college career.

Sacramento State is one of the only schools I know of that doesn't charge tuition, but rather school fees per semester that total to around $2500 at the moment! This is great because if you live close by the school and don't have to pay for housing then you just have to worry about buying books, and maybe misc. costs and that means your cost of attending is really low compared to other state universities.

My school is different in that everyone is extremely supportive of each other. Other schools I looked at were extremely competitive and the programs completely pitted students against each other. My school is different because the students are not competitive against each other but rather against them self. Because of this all the students are very motivated and extrodinarily hard working. Plus, instead of students sabotaging each other they are encouraged and rooted for by their own peers.

The area and location of the school is very casual, and the people who are there seem very relaxed. There are always events going on, such as art shows put on by the students and concerts and dance performances. So, even with all the work that can pile up there is always an event that a student can go to. The school also offers a lot of outdoor activities to go to outside of the school, such as trips to Yosemite or Tahoe.

The nature and the river

This school offers a very strong business school , also it is close to home and offers classes that can work for students with jobs. The class sizes and the teaching techniques vary which accommodates to students of different learning abilities. Furthermore, this school has a very influential alumni association within the Sacramento region.

My school has a great atmosphere to offer, with so many programs you can get involved in. It really makes you feel like it's a second home!

The music program, specifically the Jazz Studies major, is what attracted me most. Also the small size I transferred from UC Davis last year to take advantage of these benefits.

It's a very focused place, where students almost always have part time jobs and commute to class. This means that the social scene a little dead, but it's easy to find classes that fit in your schedule and allow you to graduate in a timely manner.

The unique thing about CSUS is that it is approximently 20 miles from my house. All the other schools i considered or got accepted to are far from home and could not afford to pay for it.

Honestly, there really isnt anything i consider unique about this school.

CSU, Sacramento is a commuter campus--many campuses are destination schools. A commuter school is a college where people travel to go to school and the student body consists of working people, returning professionals, people with families, etc.

We are a very diverse school with students from all different backgrounds. It is easy to find an organization to be apart of because we offer over 250 of them. We are also a commuter campus, so there aren't that many social events and activities on campus during weekends.

We are between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe so you are never far away from city or mountains. Never had a problem here.

I think that California State University Sacramento has a very good variety of teachers that are enthusiastic and intelligent people. Compared to some of the other schools that i had looked at i felt like for my major this was the best school to attend. CSUS is known for thier kinesiology program as well as the nursing programs soi felt like this would be a good school to attend, since i plan on pursuing a career in that field.

CSU Sacramento is probably one of, if not the most, diverse schools in the country. Every nationality, race, and culture attends CSU Sacramento.

All the schools I applied to were offering the same things. I chose Sac State because it was far enough away from home but close enough to go visit, and it had a good program for my major.

The most unique aspect of Sacramento State is the diverse population of students. Sacramento is one of the most diverse cities in the nation. While attending here, I have taken advantage and enjoyed the host of cultural events offered on campus. At Sacramento state, we explore and celebrate our differences together as Sac State students, not as disseparate ethnicities or religions.

The diversity of the school. I see so many different people from different ethnicities. You get to meet and learn about thier life, culture, religion and people.

It has a lot of resources for students

I only considered this school. It had early acceptance, I got in and chose not to apply to any of the UCs in the area because I had already been accepted into CSUS.

There are beautiful trees everywhere! We really great events, like cool bands every week, comedians, and interesting lectures.

It was close to where I was living. I transferred from a community college to the University. What really attracted me to Sac State was that it has an Opera Theater class that interacts a lot with the Sacramento Opera including their Maestro, Timm Rolek. Many students from Sac State are actually involved in Sacramento Opera's chorus. The Sacramento Opera also takes time to bring in professions to give master classes to the students. The music department faculty is amazing, they are involved with their students' efforts.

Diversity

It seems like a lot of students are too concerned with being "cool" and not being involved with their schools. So stop trying to be cool.

If I could have a golf cart to mob around on this campus, this school would be perfect.

I'm pretty satisfied with my college experience so far here at Sac State. The only thing that sucks is actually being required to pass classes in order to get my degree.

I'm really glad I'm graduating! I didn't apply to go into any other schools, but Sac State seems great and I'm happy with my choice.

Something about Sac State that makes the campus special? Well, it's California's capital campus. That is, Sac State is the only one that gets to call the Capitol it's neighbor.
