I wished that I had known how much work college really is. I breezed through high school so easily that going to college was a big change. You should be prepared to spend late nights up, finishing papers, and studying a lot harder than you did in high school. Focus on becoming an active learner, and not procrastinating on your work.

I wish I knew my buliding did not have air in it before i moved in. Don't worry future students of Capital University all the building will be getting air conditioning put in them.

I wish I would have known how important time management is. Also, it is good to have a good balance between your social life and academic life. I wish I would have known that college goes by fast and it is important to enjoy every second. Take advantage of every opportunity because there are many opportunities in college. It is also a good idea to have a specific carrer goal in mind before going to college so you can take courses to explore that and see if it is right for you.

I wish I had known that tuition would just keep going up. This year alone they raised the tution 11{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c}. They also said that this is the smallest tuition increase in the history of the University. I am going to be majorly in debt by the time I graduate, but I am too far in now to even consider transferring to a different college that would be cheaper.

I wish I had known how petty and immature students are here and that such a small school would not help an out-of-state student in the future.

Before I came here, I wish I would have known about the Hispanic Scholarship Capital awards to one student every year from a Hispanic background. Being only a quarter Spanish, I value and take pride in my heritage and would have been honored to receive such a scholarship. I do not qualify for a lot of financial aid and must take out big loans every year. Any scholarship received is greatly appreciated and receiving an award on behalf of my ethnic background would have been an award in itself.

Ryan

rules and regulations and that everyone was treated fairly.

Before coming to Capital University, I wish I had researched the financial aid process more. Everything else, including academics, has gone by smoothly in the past two years, but financial aid has presented some issues. One instance of these problems occured earlier this year, when origination fees started to appear on my loans. We were unaware that these fees even existed, and the university financial aid office gave us no insight into this matter. Since graduate school is coming up soon, I will be devoting a good deal of research to their financial process.

I would have wanted to know how much I would have changed though being involved. I would have been a lot more open in high school and would have enjoyed it better. I feel like the people at Capital have changed me for the better and I cant see myself anywere else.

Lisa

I wish I would have known that its location leaves you stranded and that many people are too conservative and close minded. Also, it costs way too much and has little financial aid to offer!!
