What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Shirley

I would advise all the students and myself to focus on all the assignments that the teachers give us and work hard to get no less than a 95 on all the work. Make sure not to apply for all the credit cards that the school's offer and pay everything they can by cash or a debt card. Avoid on taking a break right after they finish high school because it will take a long to go back to college and finish their career and goals. Avoid the life of nothing and focus on getting a degree which will put them in great position in any job they get.

Alana

I would tell myself to give myself time to think about what I really want out of life and what I would like to do with my life. If I was unsure of what career path I wanted to take, that it would be alright to take some time off in order to determine which path to take. This would have saved myself a great deal of time and anguish. If you are unsure of what you would like to do, you do not need to rush into college right out of highschool. Sometimes life experiences will lead you to the path you were meant to take.

My advice would be to prepare yourself for college even if this is not the path that you are choosing right now. In the long run it will benefit you because 9 time out 10 you will end going on to college even if it is 20 years later.

I know I can do it, always stay focused on my goal. Study harder and always aim high. I can party later when i finish college. No matter what is going on around me. I have to do my best at all time. If i do not start getting prepared now, then i will struggle harder later. Read a book, and get into writing a daily journal. Get used to reading and applying for the most disiplined schools. i need to challenge my self, because life is hard, so prepare now. It will become the most rewarding experience, because i can not go wrong with a prestigious degree. I will make my family happy and one day my children proud. Most of all I will win from the learning and my career.

I would advise myself to seriously think about going on to school. It is a big jump and sometimes I wonder if I am going to make it but looking to the future is what keeps me going. Living and working in the day to day world the transition into school is much eaiser.
