Central State University is a very prideful school. Back in August I took a campus tour to get to know more about the school. My two tour guides introduced and exposed me to their campus life. Even though Central State is a smaller HBCU, I still felt the energy and the love that the students have for the school. Their goal is to always make someone feel welcomed and to make sure that they are getting involved in everything that they participate in. My tour guides also mentioned that there are alumni who are there to help and will make you feel at home. I definitely recommend Central State to a lot of people especially myself.
I love Central State University. I plan to transfer there in the fall 2017
The school overall is an amazing experience. There's nothing like attending a HBCU but at the same time getting a hold of someone about a problem, you might as well try to handle it yourself because they will try their best to not help you until it gets so serious you have to talk to the president, then again you cant even get a hold of her. The classroom experience is amazing and you meet a lot of different personalities at one place. This school is most def. a party school, so stay focused and keep a good group of friends to keep you motivated. Sodexo needs to go though. Complete trash
Central State is a good school. I am in the marching band so i don't get to see alot of things. but I feel like their is not alot of opportunities on faculty supporting the students and hearing students because the staff and administrative does not know more than the students know.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Central State University is 42%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
My advice to me would be to stay in school and finish. I would advise myself to keep going until all of my educational goals have been achieved. Less time would have been spent making the transition from being a young adult to becoming a seasoned adult. I do not regret making the life choices that were made for me and my family, however I would have advised myself to incorporate school in my plan a lot earlier versus now that I am near 40'ish. I see my plans as my destiny and the fact that I am able to return to school at this point in my life is a blessing.
My classmates come to class ready to learn.
The best thing I consider about my school is that the Central State community teaches it's students to handle their business on their own.
The kind of person who should attend is anyone. Central is a friendly, positive environment. If you an open-mind person then you should really come to central.
The kind of person that should not attend Central State University is someone that is not goal oriented and someone that believes everything has to be given to them.
I like my school with everything it has
Because the school is a small community, when a student acts poorly or inappropriately, the act reflects the entire student body.
Change Is Central!
Central State is known for the special attention it provides to students. For instance, the Student Support Service. The Student Support Service is a program that provides students with the right encouragement they need while entering Central and as well as exiting Central. Central State goal is for their students to be successful. Their mission is for students to take hold of the support they will be giving within the academic goals, and also their inspiration for students to achieve whatever. Central State is also known for being a Historically Black Colleges Universities, which alot of African Americans would prefer.
The most frustrating thing about my school is finacial aid process, and how un-flexible our meal plans are!
I brag about being exited to return to a school which is an HBCU. I also brag about the fact that the school offers courses geared towards the non traditional student who is also employed full time and raising a family.
Central Sate is unique because it has so much history behind it. The clock tower at CSU has survived a tornado that passed through Wilberforce years ago and was the only buliding still standing when the torando left. Not only is our school blessed, but it is very small. This results into the teacher getting to know you as a individual. Teachers are avaliable during office hours and loves to help students. CSU is very relegious and everyone loves being a marauder and love the state ohio. That why we as CSU students say FOR GOD, FOR CENTRAL, FOR STATE.
That procrastination would my worst enemy.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
