Claflin is a very easy going school that prepares its freshman students for college life as soon as they enter the gate. Claflin has great resources, a diverse cultural atmosphere, and a well educated staff of professionals there to help students with almost any kind of problem. Claflin's small campus creates a secure feeling for its students that reminds them of home. I believe any type of student can come to Claflin, but each student who graduates from Claflin have something great to offer the world.

A Claflinite is a product of Claflin teachings and policies who is able to be picked out of a crowd - they are people who carry themselves in a respectable manner and who treat others the same way.

Claflin University is a Methodist Affiliated Historically Black University. Although welcoming to students of different racial and religious backgrounds, African-American students who are Methodist would be the best fit for Claflin. Also students who prefer smaller classes and life in a small town would find Claflin to be a great fit.
