If there is inclement weather present, the campus floods very easily because of it's previous structure.

The worst thing about my school is that there are not many people that encoourage you (the student) to do well. If you are not doing as well as you thought you should have been doing, instead of giving up, there should be somebody there that will encourage you and let you know that it will be alright and strive to do your very best!

Besides the parking and the traffic I can say there is nothing else that I consider the worst thing about my school.

The worse thing about Coastal Carolina Univeristy is that not all the students take college seriously. Some students rather not pay attention in the classes and ask the same repeated questions daily. Some students also feel that they don't need to take some classes as serious as others, but then just because one class is boring to them, it may be interesting to someone else.

There isn't anything that I hate or despise about Coastal Carolina University. I am in love with the school and just about everything about it. Unfortunately, it is not perfect and there are something that need to be worked on. Many people complain about the parking situation, but the school is actually trying to work on making it a car free campus. There are other small things such as the occasional medicore meal or annoying washers, but the school overall is really great.

The worst thing about my school is that it is expensive.

I consider the cafeteria food to be the worst at Coastal. Their are alot of other places to eat on campus but the main cafe just doest have what a male college student would want. There is alot of really healthy food though.

The worst thing about Coastal Carolina University would be that the school is over crowded and the construction needs to be done. There construction going on throughout the campus and it is causing problems. There are too many students living in housing that needs renovations or they need new housing done.

The parking because there is very little parking spaces close to your class buildings

The worst thing I consider about my school is the fact that as a freshman student living on the campus housing that is about a mile away from the main campus, I have to take a shuttle bus to class. This shuttle is never on time and often makes me late to my next class.

I consider all of the construction right now, therefore the tuition is being raised.

The parking can be ridiculous but it is growing and getting big so that can be a good thing.

Coastal Carolina University is still sort of the new school on the block. They are still expanding as far as the general student population and land. That is great that they're expanding, but it's too much at one time. They're trying to build a new gym arena strictly for the real volleyball and basketball teams, a new dorm, renovate some of the old ones, build a hitting facility for baseball/softball, build two new student centers, tear down some parking lots to make more buildings, etc. It's just too much. The list goes on.

The worst thing about my school is the funding for students to attend Coastal Carolina University. The cost of tuition is rising each year and it is making it harder for students to return because our financial system lacks the funds to support students that are interested in returning each year to further their education to obtain a degree.

I really don't think there is anything bad about my school.

The worst thing about Coastal Carolina University is the fact that they are growing at a faster rate than they can handle. Coastal is accepting more freshmen than they have the space for. There are apartments that use to be for four students, but they have now been turned into five person apartments so that Coastal can accept more students. This is what I consider to be the worst thing, becaue students' living enviroments influence the way that they perform academically, so if they feel crowded or uncomfortable, they will in turn perform badly.

The worst thing about Coastal Carolina University is that multiple students use drugs on a regular basis. Based on statistics, significantly more CCU students use drugs than the national average. Various drugs, particularly marijuana, as well as other harder drugs, are prevalent on this campus. As a student that does not use drugs, I find this extremely disappointing and do not enjoy being around this crowd of students. However, not all CCU students use drugs, and I have never been pressured to do so.

Because there is a rapid expansion in student growth parking can be an all day event and I wish Coastal was more diverse.

The library, the gym, and a majority of the other facitlities on campus are in serious need of rennovation and upgrading. They are shoddy looking, in-efficient, and really quite pathetic. The shuttle system and the availability (or lack there of) of on-campus housing have SERIOUS room for improvement. There are also not enough near-by shops or restaurants, for kids who do live on campus or for people with out cars, at this school a car is an absolute necessity or else you will be stranded.

The worst thing about my school is the size. Since it is so small, there are not many choices of on-campus restaurants. Students sometimes grow tired of eating at the same place every night. Parking can also be difficult due to the size of the parking lots.

The worst thing about my school is that there is not enough parking and not enough dorms or apartments at the beginning of the year. If you are going to park on campus, you have to get there at least thirty minutes before class because you will most likely be parking very far away from your classroom and walking. Also, at the beginning of the fall semester, some students had to share a one-person room because there was not enough space for everyone.

One of the worst things about Coastal Carolina is the food in the commons. It could be a lot better for what the students pay for.

Although the location right next to the beach is great, and the town of Conway is nice, the area around the school is not so great. The campus is small, which is great when you're running late for classes, but housing is limited, so most upperclassmen live off-campus. This is a stressful situation for a lot of students, figuring out where to live and the cost of that living situation. It also takes away from the unified campus feeling.

I consider the school reputation to be the worst thing about my school. Alot of people from up north want to come to Coastal because it has the rep of a "party school". Many of these students end up coming for just a semester and then they gotta go back home to the local community college. Thankfully I have never taken part in that scene at Coastal and I'm glad I have not becuase I constantly bust my butt to do good in all my classes and its starting to show through my grades.

The worst thing I've experienced at Coastal, so far, is communication with some of the professors. I've had a beginners spanish class where the professor could hardly speak english. I've also had a math professor who was getting a bit too old to teach. He mumbled his words together and no one could understand him. We basically had to teach ourselves the material.

Since I live about a mile from the school, the worst thing about the school is the shuttle buses that goes around the campus everyday. I know they are on schedule, but sometimes they still will have me running late for classes when they decide to come. There is like 5 shuttles that run everyday so why they run so slow. Besides that, everything else is pretty cool.

Sometimes the staff can be unorgarnized , It is very frustrating. For example, the staff that puts students in dorms can sometimes mess it up.

The worst thing about my school is sometimes the way professors treat some of the students. We as students understand this is not high school and it is time to grow up and be held responsible but we also can make our own decision and should not be treated as kids as some professors do students.

The Marine science building is across a major road. I hate having to fight the traffic and parking between classes. I would prefer to just park int eh morning and be able to walk between all of my classes.

The worst thing about Coastal Carolina in my opinion is parking. Parking is horrendous! I live three miles from the school and I have to leave 45 minutes before class so that I can find parking. Sometimes the students have to sit in their cars at the end of the rows and wait on classes to change in hopes that other students will be leaving. I wish the school would take the students time into consideration. Our time is just as valuable as theirs is and that lost time waiting for parking could be spent in the library studying.

The worst thing I consider about my school is the location. The reason why the location is the worst thing about is because it is located in the middle of nowhere. I can not find anything to do here. I mean, even though the school is located thirty minutes away from Myrtle Beach, there is still nothing to do. Now, there are clubs offered here at Coastal Carolina University. However, even though the clubs help occupy my time somewhat on campus, I still would like to find other activities to do off campus that is not offered here on campus.

Many commuters, so sometimes activities on weekends can be limited.

That most people's social lives are based around parties and drinking. It gives the image that we are a party school.

The party scene. There's little substance in conversation other than "What are you doing tonight?" A lot of people don't know how to handle drinking. My friends who smoked pot on occassion moved onto pain killers. It's a really tough environment to be in if you don't know your limits. The police get involved a lot, and it's unecessary fines and jail time. Thankfully there are a few people on campus who want something out of tomorrow other than a hang over. This type of person, however, is a rarity.

The worst thing about my school, for me as a Theatre major, is probably the fact that, in the Theatre dept, everything is a popularity contest. Those students who aren't part of the "in" crowd don't get cast in anything. It realize this is not so unusual but, I feel that as a learning facility, the school should be more focused on educating ALL students and allowing them ALL stage time to really learn on the stage. There is no better learning space for a Theatre major than actually getting stage time.

The worst thing about Coastal is the lack of cultural experiences surrounding the campus. There are plenty of fine art experiences on campus but not in Myrlte Beach itself.

The lack of seriousness. CCU is very party oriented.

Making more buildings on places like our lawn and intramural field which will take away from the beauty of the school

It is always a struggle to find on campus parking close to your building.

The worst thing about Coastal Carolina is the sports facilities. For example, the basketball area is very small which does not help with school spirit.

The financial aid if you are from out of state! I have been living here for two years I don't even have a house in New York anymore and I still can't get in state tution. Everyone here is rich and I am not and can't get any help financially.

Becareful about some advisors. They think they are helping you and think they know what they are talking about, but just make sure you have some other advisors' opinion. Talk to your professors of your major and even the head of the department before making your final decision on things.

I would say the size of the library and the quality of the student center and the student recreation building. All three of these buildings are insufficient when it comes to providing a quality environment. Also all are extremely out dated and are not large enough for the amount of students that attend this university. The money the students of this University pay does not give them the quality of these facilities that they (we) deserve.

I conside that the school is growing but they are not building enough buildings to accomodate the growth.

I really don't know what would be the worst thing about this school, except for maybe, like all schools, those few professors that don't really care about their students.

The parking here is terrible. For Fall 2008, there was 1700 new freshmen, and they added maybe 100 new parking spots! It takes like 30 minutes to get a park, and it's still far away.
