I absolutely love Concord University. I have already been accepted to go there in the fall term of 2023, as I am currently a senior high school student. I come to the campus regularly to visit my friends, as well as I have done a visit of the campus itself to really get a feel of what the campus is like also in the classroom. I love how it is a community that is united together, a community where everyone is willing to help each other and not have drama. I love the environment of Concord and I truly am so excited to continue my academic career at Concord. I have met a few of the professors, as they all seem very nice. This University truly is one of the best ones I have visited, and I am just so happy to go to Concord in the fall of 2023 so I can get my bachelors degree in criminology. They have already given me such a good experience and I am not even fully admitted into the school yet. Thank you Concord!
Concord University is a great school. It is the most beautiful school I have ever seen. The school has many things for their students to get involved in. Concord has a great business program and many other programs also. Attending Concord University has been the best idea I have ever made.
My overall opinion of Concord University is that it has a very safe environment surrounding the campus, however there are very few activities to be done (if you are without personal transportation). The class sizes are rather small, allowing each student to be heard, as well as giving each student equal opportunity to be heard by the professors.
Concord is located in a small town, within a small county, and within a small state. This atmosphere may be difficult for some who come from other countries or far off states. Concord does not have a big city, big University atmosphere. The closest town, does not have a lot to offer either. There is minimal nightlife and shopping. The local town supports Concord students as well with discounts. What Concord does have is challenging academics and strong faculty, staff support for students. The faculty and staff really want students to succeed. There is a strong sports, and fraternity-sorority atmosphere. Concord does have events for students such as special guests, and activities. Concord has a strong Arts program. The international students have support here. Overall, it is a great school where you are not just a face and a number. The faculty and staff truly invest in students. You will learn here.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Concord University is 81%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
The advice that I would give to someone looking for a college is to do your research online and ask around about the university. Looks may be deceiving and you need to make sure that you know what you want to do and what you are willing to sacrifce to get where you're going. As far as making the most of the college experience, don't get tied down with any one thing. Truly experience college. Do new things that you wouldn't normally do and enjoy yourself.
The professors were supportive of continuing education. They frequently offered advice and experience related to getting into graduate school.
generally nice and talkative, willing to open up if given the chance.
The parking at Concord University for commuter students is extremely lax - small spaces, as well as lack of spaces available.
Concord University is small place that offers a multitude of opportunities for the future as well as the present with friendly, helpful, and well educated faculty and friendships with students that will last a lifetime.
The most frustrating thing about Concord University is trying to talk to the staff and have your questions answered. Many professors are not avaliable during their office hours and even miss scheduled appointments. The administration is more worried about covering up problems the school faces instead of dealing with them. So if you need to talk to them about an issue, you never receive a straight answer.
I wish I would have known just how much you would need a car at this campus.
Someone who is focused on a quality education and isn't afraid to get out there and meet new people.
I am a social work major, and Concord has an amazing, well accreditted Social work program. Those who graduate Concord go on to have very success careers in the Social Work field.

it's pretty friendly and if you know the right people, you'll do really well.
Concord University is best known for the rigorous and esteemed classes and professors. If you graduate from Concord, you will most likely be accepted directly into graduate school or find a job right after graduation. Since Concord is in southern West Virginia, the local and campus community is filled with hard-working adults and students who genuinely care for your well being and are focused on the rural lifestyle.
The academics here are very challanging, but the professors are wonderful in guiding me through everything when I need help. Just from my first semester here, I have noticed that my English and writing skills have improved, including my speech and confidence in broadcasting.
The most popular activities and groups are the sororities and the fraternities. As well as the basketball and football team. They are very popular and as I have heard, a lot of fun! Sororities and fraternities are probably the most important because it is such a small campus and a lot of freshman want to make friends quickly. It helps people identify who they truly are.
What's the best thing about this school? The community is amazing! Is your school too large, too small, or just right? Just right! You will always see someone you know, or have at least seen before, but you will also meet someone new almost every day! College town, or "what college town?" The Fargo/Moorhead area is home to 3 major schools (Concordia, MSUM, NDSU) and is the home for many fun activities for college students! Many places give special college discounts as well! What's your opinion of this school's administration? All the professors really enjoy getting to know their students one on one. When you come to Concordia, you get a personalized experience, academically and socially. Is there a lot of school pride? Oh yes! And, it isn't just for our sporting teams! There is a lot of pride in other student activities like choir, band, speech, etc... Is there anything unusual about this school? Our mascot is an ear of corn! :) What's one experience you'll always remember? I will always remember the homecoming bonfires, and all the great on campus experiences! What are the most frequent student complaints? The main "complaints" are about the weather. It does get a bit chilly in Moorhead, but after a week or two, it is easy to adjust!
-the best friend from down the street everyone at Concordia is extremely close. As we like to say, Concordia: cold weather, but warm hearts!

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
97% of students attending Concord University receive some sort of financial aid. 50% were awarded federal grants. While 43% received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
