Ferris State University Top Questions

I think that the worse thing about Ferris State University is the quality of the campus dorm rooms. The size of the rooms that are provided for freshmen and sophomores to live in is very small: 14' by 11' or 13' by 10'. Sharing such a small space with another person can be irritating and frustrating. There is also not much closet and storage space. Fitting all of my belongings as well as my roommate's belongings is nearly impossible. Most of the dorm rooms at Ferris State need some definite remodelling to fit a student's needs.

It is a considerably small town with nothing to do except your school work.

The worst thing about Ferris State is how poorly it is managed and how distant the administartion is to students needs.

The hick town it's in. There's so many goddamned hicks in this school and there's no diversity. The school tries to promote diversity, but it's not here. There's nothing to do in this fucking town.

The worst part about Ferris State University is that there is nothing to do here on the weekend. Many students decide to leave campus because of this. And the ones that do stay on campus are the students that participate in binge drinking. The closest place to go to really be able to hang out is about an hour away.

The worse thing about Ferris State University is the alocation of funding. Too much money is placed into useless projects like green areas, and art that has no purpose, only to take up space on campus. Budget is a big issues in many departments. Such as IT and Academic programs. Often they have to cut back on some things to save money. I find this rediculous because school and academic services should come before appearance.

Hipsters. They make themselves seem so big when they're not.

The fact that they place holds on all of my information because I don't have all of my tuition pay. I am paying for college myself and I am doing the best that I can to pay my bills on time. I have a part time job and 16 credits a semester, it just gets to be a little hard.

It is kind of a long drive from my house.

I would have to say the worst thing about the school is its location. I am from a decent size town and Big Rapids seems extremely small and in a deserted place to me.

My school is kind of boring and I'm not the party girl type.
