The best thing about my school was the availability of classes with the faculty being very involved with the students and their goals.

The atmosphere is the best thing about Ferris State. People are typically friendly and since the school is smaller, you can see people you know when walking to class. Professors are willing to meet with students outside of class and help as much as they can. The size and the people make the atmosphere seem just right.

The small class sizes.

The size of Ferris State would have to be the best and most beneficial thing to me. The largest class that I have is about 100 people, the rest are between 15-25 people which makes it much easier to get to know your professors on a more personal level and it is also less distracting in class when there are fewer people. Being able to create a relationship with professors allows us refrences for later when we are looking for jobs. It also makes it easier to get to meet new people.

The best thing about FSU would have to be the cleanliness and size. i love how it is not too small that its boring and crowded, but it is also not so big that you have to take a taxi to your next class. Everything is (at most) a 15 min walk away, weather its to the library, the science building or the grocery store. The cleanliness i find to be impecable, its rare to find much more than a piece of gum on the sidewalk. This is just a friendly and healthy environment.

Because it is a very easy transition. It's not a very big town, but it's not too small, and all of your classes are in walking distance on campus.

It offers hands on training for the field that I want to go into, also the teachers that are teaching all have worked in those fields and know what to teach and what we should know. For instance, I had to go through a plastic injection molds class, which was part of a 2 year degree, and we had a teacher who worked and owned his own shop and he had probably 20 years of experience in molds before he became a teacher.

Everyone is friendly. Its easy to meet people and have fun even if you didn't know anyone before you came to Ferris.
