What are the most popular student activities/groups?

Joshua

Football. You're in Tallahassee and you walk into any restaurant any day of the week, and the waiter will ask you about the football game. Then an older man sitting in the next booth down will lean over and make a statement about a foul call the refs made, but that it was a still a good game. The whole entire Tallahassee economy thrives on it's college town environment and having a lot of school pride definitely helps out. Now, if you're into the whole fraternity and sorority thing, the dating scene is best described by the term "simple." The fraternities and sororities will get together and try to set up a blind date for every person in the organization. It's that simple. You get dates without lifting a finger! I've seen plenty of relationships rise from this! If you aren't involved with that crowd though, there are still plenty of single ladies waiting to be swooped off their feet. As I'm sure you know, it just takes some self confidence and suave! On to more activities. If you don't like to drink there's usually a free movie showing on campus, there's always the bowling ally in the Student Union, and there's usually a group of kids playing frisbee, ninja, or a group LARPing on Landis Green! Oh, and how could I forget! There are tons of clubs to go to, and there isn't a rule that says you must be drunk to enter. I've a few friends that refuse to drink but still join in on Saturday night to run over to 'the strip.' Most partying takes place from Thursday through Saturday. There's always a few smaller 'cool-down' parties on Sunday but other than that, everyone seems pretty focused on school. For some off campus fun, there are some beaches as close as 40 minutes away, and if you like the outdoors like myself, you can always plan a weekend to drive two or three hours into Georgia to get some great backpacking trails and smaller mountains. If you can't drive too far, there are some pretty trails over in Monticello which is about a 20-30 minute drive. There's also the FSU Reservation which has a real nice lake with canoeing, kayaking, beach volley-ball and tons of picnic tables!

There are so many different things to get involved with here at Florida State-it is great! I am involved in a variety of things: club water polo, Student Alumni Association, Student Boosters, Hands of Hope, challenge course facilitating, campus rec, Outdoor Pursuits, a variety of intramurals, and much more. There are a variety of different living arrangements on campus and you can decide how social you want your dorm to be: there are old community style dorms (with ummm…character) to new single person rooms with your own bathrooms, it all depends what type of person you are and what you are looking for. There are so many things to do here at Florida State. Last weekend on Friday I went to work and then to First Friday at Railroad square( a little local art and food festival that happens each month) after that I came home to study for a upcoming finals and then went to bed. Saturday morning I woke up early and volunteered at a local food bank with my roommate, came home and then went to the annual Winter Festival in down town Tallahassee where a few of my friends and I participated in the Jingle Bell Run-such a fun way to get involved with the city of Tallahassee! After the race, I came home, changed quickly, and then went to an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party at my friend’s apartment. Sunday morning started out a little different than most; I took my friend to the Hospital (conveniently close to FSU) because they thought she had appendicitis, she was fine and we headed home. Sunday night ended with weekly Family Dinner with my roommates and friends and then our championship intramural kickball game.

Football games are the most popular athletic events. There is always something to do on campus! We have a movie theater that plays recent movies, a dance theater where dance majors host shows, an auditorium where organizations hold fun events, and more!

Ezekeil

Football games are the most popular of all events at FSU but its not the only thing here. As I mentioned before, there's the student cinema where they play actual theater movies every week (although a bit out dated), there is Club Downunder where bands and speakers come to perform. This week the comedian, Steve Bryne is showing up. The on campus restaurants and the Starbucks in the university library are frequent hang outs for students. There are numerous clubs and associations. The Japanese Anime Club of Tallahassee is the one I am most active with. This group meets to watch Japanese animation and discuss the culture and once a year they through a mini convention for the campus. There are also clubs like the Zombies V.S Humans where students role play a zombie hunt and the LARPING club where students roleplays in the knights with swords fashion. My latest campus activity was going to see a student play at the Lab Theater on campus. It was assortment of ten minute plays in 50 minutes all written directed and performed by grad students in the theater and film programs. It there a lot of laughs and some really shock moments. . As for traditions. The first thing they give you when you show up for orientation is a list of campus traditions. Stuff like jumping into the campus fountains that double as swimming pools on your 21st birthday. When it comes to the dorms my experience has been that no one leaves their doors open unless they are the RA. There can be lots of noise at night and if you're on the wrong side of campus then good luck being able to sleep at night. Overall its not bad as long as you're in the right location for your needs. The school is very active one and it can be said that most of the experiences and learning here takes place in the extra activities and not in the classes you take. Its very important to be involved here.

Megan

The most active organizations on campus are the Greek organizations and the College Republicans. There are free activities on campus all the time - speakers, movies, comedians, and concerts. Athletic events, especially football, are usually pretty big deals - the student section at football games is always packed. People are usually willing to meet new people. Its always going to be a little difficult your first semester - just remember that everyone else is feeling the same way. Its not hard to meet new people, you just have to put yourself out there. There are always parties on the weekend, and its very easy to meet people there. If drinking isn't your thing, you can go to clubs on the weekends, or any of the campus activities, or poetry events. However, at most of the parties, no one pressures you to drink - FSU students are pretty laid back. Socializing is easier in some of the lower-end dorms like Sally, Smith and Dormin, just because the rooms are so small, people hang out in the hallways and common rooms.

One of the most frequently occurring activities on FSU's campus is the Student Life Center's screenings of free movies. This theater prints a schedule per month and shows new, old, cult and midnight movies for any interested cinephile. Every night of the week except Sunday has at least two showings of a movie, and often there are activities in the lobby while you wait to be seated. Another big draw at FSU is the massive football program. When football season ends, buzz and excitement for the next season begins. The overall school spirit helps unify people and transcend differences between them. In addition to movies and sports, FSU regularly sponsors stand up comedian acts and musical performers in its club, Club Down Under. Also, there are many unofficial athletic (ultimate Frisbee) and artistic (open mic nights) social events, all for all ages. And for personal social relationships, FSU is full of generally nice people. Some residence hall floors all end up uniting to be a small community overlooking campus. And with a predominantly female student body, the dating scene is competitive, but abundant. With all of the events and activities to partake in, a new date can happen every night if one had the energy and free time. The surrounding Tallahassee area also caters well to college interests. Tom Brown park is a great place to exercise or play 18-hole disk golf. There are night clubs and concert venues, including a great civic center only about a mile from campus (where the annual Pow Wow pep rally is held). And a slew of eating establishments featuring global cuisines all in one city.

There are many different organizations on campus which help you find the one thing you are interested in. If you enjoy video games, there is a club for it. If you enjoy fighting for animal rights, there is a club for it. I personally found my niche in the campus radio station. I am able to meet fantastic people who share the same interests (whether it is music from the DJs or sports from the Sports department). In the past, my group of friends, all of which I met from the radio station, have taken trips camping and get together on a normal basis to have fun. Sticking with what there is to do on campus, Florida State offers special events in the student union, some of the more popular ones include the “Haunted Harvest” every October where students can dress up, carve pumpkins, and, of course, go watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the movie theater on campus. Other events on campus include the “Winter Wonderland” which changes each year. There was an ice rink for skating my first year and fake snow brought in during my second year. Each time, free food and drinks were offered, mainly popcorn, snow cones, and hot coco. Also, each year FSU holds an annual spring carnival in the union where rides are brought in and students and play games to win prizes. All three of the events I have mentioned are open to every one of all ages and bring out a good crowd each time. Furthermore, if the big social events are not your scene, FSU offers a small club on campus which brings in various musicians, all fee to students. Lastly, the football games during the fall semester always bring a big turnout. In a stadium that holds over 80,000 people, fans flock to watch the Seminoles take on whatever school they are hosting. ESPN has voted FSU’s pregame tradition of Chief Osceola and Renegade as the best college tradition in college football. Not to mention the War Chant and the Tomahawk Chop, which gained massive recognition during the 1990s, is still used during every game the ‘Noles play.

Samantha

Student activities are abundant at FSU, with activities constantly being offered for free in the student union, at Club Down Under, inside our large Civic Center, and of course our legendary football dynasty. There are also several bars right on campus, and on any given night of the week there is always somewhere to go and have a drink ( or 3). Examples of events I have had the pleasure of attending in my time here at FSU have included lectures from guest speakers such as Spike Lee and Anthony Bourdain, free comedy shows from the Waynes brothers premiering their new tour exclusively at FSU, a free Weezer concert with special guest Haley Williams of the band Paramore, Jermaine Dupri and DJ Steve Aoki, an amazing theatre program showcasing several award winning plays, a prestigious dance program offering memorizing ballets, Football, Basketball and Baseball games (all harboring a high attendance and a magnitude of school spirit) Homecoming Parades, Dance Show Cases, First Fridays in railroad square for the art lover in us all, and of course the world Famous FSU circus (with free admission for students during the spring semester). Here at Florida State there is NEVER a night with nothing to do. We offer a plethora of fun and exciting student activities for whatever you might be interested in.

Ramona

Football is major at FSU, so it's great for any sports fan. Saturday game days are one of the best times to be a student, it's so much fun to see everyone get so involved and cheer on their school. Students are interested in more than just sports though, comedians come to town, artists come town, musicians come to town; we get involved in everything. There are parties practically every night, which is largely popular. That's not all though, there are museums around town, plenty of shopping; there really is just so much to do. If you're not a partier, don't worry, there's still plenty for you to do.

Alexandra

Greek life on campus is very popular, but there are also tons of other ways to get involved. There are all kinds of student associations for people from every kind of race, ethnicity, religion, and sexual orientation. There are intramural sports that a lot of students get involved in. On weekends, heading to the Rez is pretty popular. It's a lake owned by the school where you can lay on the beach, rent kayaks and canoes and paddle boards (for free). We even have a wakeboarding club that uses the lake for practice.

Marcia

There is a big football culture here. Students at Florida State are obsessed with football and have a high amount of school spirit because of it. Students also enjoy going out to bars and clubs as well. As for the dating scene, there are some couples but a lot of students prefer one night stands and to hook up instead. There are a lot of things to do in Tallahassee and campus tries to attract people by having movies run or other things like breakfast for a buck.

The social scene at FSU consists of partying and football games. Greek life is encompassing, people party 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Tallahassee provides some relief to the party scene. There are a cornucopia of good restaurants in the area and in the summer there are many outdoor activities to do if you leave the city.

Chris

Greek Life plays a huge role at FSU. The events thrown by the different Fraternities/Sororities on campus are incredible (your time at FSU will always be your Glory Days). The var, sity athletics program is a big part of social life at FSU, whether it be a basketball game, baseball game, or football game the students are always looking for a reason to cheer on the Seminoles! The school also has a steady stream of guest speakers and performers that come to the school, so there is always something to do!

Madison

The most popular groups on campus are the Greek life, sororities and fraternities are popular. Also the tennis team, lacrosse, football and rugby. I am involved with the FSU Catholic Student Union; it is very worth it, you will renew your Catholic faith and have tons of fun with your Catholic family whom you can always count on. Some studnets do leave their doors wide open. FOOTBALL is the MOST popular event. FSU is known for its football. Theater is wonderful here. We do hae guest speakers from time to time. If I am awake at 2 am on a Tuesday, then I am most likely studying and listening to the radio. We hae FSU HvZ, the game Humans s. Zombies, made famous by being played during the Halloween weeks. There are plenty of parties at the different sororities and fraternities. Here at FSU, people party A LOT. Fraternities and sororities are very important and BIG here. Last weekend, I went to a house party and played beer pong. You can go see a movie at the FSU Student Life Center on a Saturday night or play tennis, without drinking. When off campus, I ride my horse.

Michelle

Greek Life is really good here, but not necessary. Our nightlife is the best, there is something to do every night.

Justyn

The 2009 introduction to the Vagina Monologues!

Ashley

Greek life is big, but you will still meet a bunch of people if you aren't involved.

Stacy

FSU Campus Recreation is HUGE. We just opened the largest outdoor recreation complex in the U.S. (The Rec Sportsplex) which is amazing. Dorms are friendly and inviting, and can be loud, noisy, and full of fire alarms depending where you are. The east side of campus is better, however you're required to have a meal plan. But also try for a living-learning community, they MAKE you get involved with the people you live with which is awesome.

Becca

If it's 2am on Tuesday, I'm just leaving AJ's (a sports bar with a crazy 80's night) and going next door to pick up Guthrie's fried chicken. FSU also has the (I believe) biggest movie theatre where they play new releases and old favorites.

Alicia

I met my closest friends living in the dorm freshman year

Caroline

I go out usually tuesday night, thursday night and all through the weekend. I met my closest friends at FSU through tri-delt.

Jessica

Greek life is an important part of campus life, it's nice to be apart of something that defines who you are on such a large campus.

Harper

Greek Life is HUGE here at FSU. Basically being in a sorority or fraternity will make or break your experience at florida state. RUSH is very competitive for girls and boys. Greek life is AMAZING, period. If I'm awake on a Tuesday night at 2 am I know exactly where I would be. I'd be either leaving Potbellys from a great night of dancing and listening to live music with almost all of my sorority sisters & fellow greeks (and the few GDI's who learn to love pots). Potbelly's closes at 2 am so usually I either head over to Phi Sig (frat house right across the street) to hang out with a bunch of my guy-friends, or I'm on my way to the Diner in the "Safe Bus". The Diner is probably one of the most addicting places you will go here at FSU. Whenever we're looking for some late night food binges, we call the SAFEbus (free cab service for FSU students on campus) and head over to the Diner and put on a few of those freshman 15 lbs ;) Frats and Sororities overall help SO much with the transition into College and being on your own. I honestly know more people than I can even count...and there is NO way I would have known all these amazing people if I wasn't in Greek life.

Emmerson

Some students that live in dorms leave their dorms, but it is not very safe to me. My closest friends are my roommate that I work with and my tridelt friends I go out like 2 times a week or less, depending on projects

Robert

The atmosphere is so friendly. People are always networking through organizations and through Facebook so people always know what there is to do on campus or how to go about meeting new people.

Laura

There's no way to not be social at FSU because the people are so friendly and I feel like everyone is involved. Even when you go to the grocery stores like Publix or Target, all the employees that work there, are students at FSU. So it's hard to not run into somebody that's in your class or that is just a face you always see on campus.

Blake

the most popular organizations are social fraternities and sororities. i am not involved in those, however i am in a professional business fraternity called alpha kappa psi. i met my closest friends through that organization and they are pretty much my only friends since i dont really have opportunities to meet other people from other social groups (meaning i dont really hang out with people from my classes and i dont work either so i cant meet people that way).

Lauren

i do not know which group is most popular but I am in Alpha Kappa Psi- the professional business fraternity. i lived in the dorms my freshman year and i hated it because there is no personal space for yourself. we did not leave the doors open because it is not safe. dating is whatever i personally have not found my dream guy because most guys want one thing or they just don't want a relationship all together. at 2am on a Tuesday I am probably watching TV with my dog. people party a lot i don't personally but we are known for partying. besides drinking i go out to dinner with friends or go to a movie.

Nina

Everything closes at 2ish in the morning but I like this because I think it helps moderate how much partying students can really do.

Jenna

Greek life is very popular as well as academic fraternities. There are so many groups and clubs on campus that students enjoy and I feel there is something for everyone. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, The Professional Business Fraternity which is very active on campus. It teaches student how to act in a professional setting and it gives a sense of belonging to members. Students in some dorms leave their doors open but I never lived in a dorm. Athletic events are very popular with all types of students, guest speakers are only popular to people interested in the topic, and theater is not very popular. The dating scene is pretty open at FSU. I met my friends through high school friends, through AKPsi, and in my classes. If I'm awake at 2AM I'm either studying or leaving a club/bar. People party between 2 and 5 times a week here. Fraternities and sororities are important to those involved with them and not to everyone else. I could go to the movies or hang out with friends on a Saturday without having to drink.

Kelly

I used to hit the strip almost every night as a freshman. Thankfully, I've completely grown out of it and now I enjoy to have a nice cocktail or glass of wine at a lounge/wine bar or at a nice restaurant.

Alice

If I'm awake at 2am on a Tuesday, I'm most likely staggering around trying to catch the Night Nole from AJ's on Tennessee Street. AJ's is one of my favorite places, and Tuesday is probably its biggest night -- 80's theme! Downstairs has darts, pool, live band, and a bar. Upstairs is much louder and has a strobe lighting, tv screens, and of course, a bar. Tuesday is also "Flippin' Tuesday", where you can flip to get free beer. AJ's is so much fun on Tuesday nights. But beware, that upstairs that bounces every time all the partyers get crazy and dance is bound to break eventually!

Mike

Im involved with Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity. We focus on furthering the individual well fare of its members by developing the essential business and people skills necessary for the real world out side of college. We are also focused on networking. Athletics are extremely popular. I'm relatively new to the dating scene and find that if you're too picky you may be of luck. I've met my closest friends through classes and my Fraternity. People party mostly on the weekends. If i'm awake at 2 am on Tuesday I am probably studying. On Saturday night insted of drinking you could go see a movie, go to campus for several activities, dinner at several restaurants around town.

Andy

Intramurals is one of the best selling points to come to FSU. FSU students never leave their doors open. I found that other universities did leave them open. I never liked that freshman year. Students have to join multiple organizations to be social and to better themselves as a person. Professional organizations are the most beneficial.

Justin

There is always something going on around campus. We have a capella music groups, a full size movie theatre, and even a circus! You're not a true Seminole until you've been thrown into the Wescott Fountain on your birthday. I feel like FSU is a very safe campus. Although I wouldn't recommend it, I see people leave their computers and personal belongings unattended at the gym or the library. It has an atmosphere where you can just be yourself.

Evan

The most common group is definitely the kids that go to the Student Life Center. Since it offers movies for free, it is the most commonly used campus convenience. Also a lot of students go to the Union on Wednesdays for Market Wednesdays. There are also intra-dorm groups that ensure the dorm stays relatively under control. The doors in the dorms close automatically but they are generally unlocked and visits from other kids in the dorm are common. Some students bought door stops to keep the door open, but even if the door is closed it often doesn't stop other students from stopping in if they hear something going in the room, such as Rock Band. Athletic events are very common and there are usually a number of events to participate in officially and unofficially. There are always kids playing some kind of sport on Landis Green, and there are official sports with the FSU teams weekly. There is always a movie showing at the Student Life Center and there are commonly recitals and other musical events going on around the campus. Guest speakers are not as common, but there are still three or four a semester. The dating scene is not very common, but it isn't generally hard to find somebody that would be interested in dating. There are many students that are just looking for one night stands and playing around, but those are usually in isolated groups. If you find a group of students that you plan on hanging around with for a long time, then dating goes along with that. I met my closest friends in the dorm that I lived in. I would definitely reccomend living on-campus in one of the dorms for the first year of college life. It helps in meeting a lot of new kids and friends that you will keep all throughout college, especially if you don't know that many students from your high school going into college. Usually it's playing video games or surfing the internet. Sometimes it will be going to the on-campus diner to get some food or some of the fast food restaurants that are open until 3. Otherwise just hanging out with some friends in one of our rooms. A tradition is to be thrown into a fountain on your birthday, and you aren't always safe if your birthday falls on a day that you are not on-campus. Retribution is often paid when everybody returns to campus if they remember. Some people party everynight, but it is more common on Thursday night to go to the strip, which is a series of clubs located right off campus that all connect at midnight. There are usually isolated parties around parts of town between friends, and the cops are generally lenient on parties as long as there isn't any disturbance between neighbors. Fraternities and sororities are not that important, but many students are involved in them because of their interests. There are numerous fraternities that do no just limit themselves to a general fraternity, and serve a certain purpose of connecting students with common interests. There are definitely many benefits from being in a fraternity or sorority if you can make the financial commitment. Last weekend I left for spring break, and then hung out with my friends in my hometown. There are usually some local bands playing at any of the bars around campus, andd there are sometimes well known bands playing at the larger venues. Also there are plenty of kids around campus to hang out with, as well as playing video games in the dorm with some of your friends. There are plenty of places to hang out off campus and the most common thing off campus is clubbing or going to a see a band. Otherwise getting some food from a nice restaurant.

Ron

There is something to do here every night of the week, in terms of going to a bar or club, getting drunk, and trying to get laid. Tallahassee, especially the "Strip" on Tennessee St., is a veritable vortex of debauchery.

George

I do not participate in any clubs or organization. Off campus I generally find something constructive to do like volunteer. Saturday night and no drinking? That means you will have little to do, you could be the designated driver and read a good novel while waiting for people to drunkenly call you and request your services.

Harper

2am tuesday... Studying or drinking. Usually the former but the latter is always fun. Frats and sororities are a big part of FSU but their importance really depends on who you are. I have no desire to pay that much money but I don't mind their parties or most of the kids in them. Last weekend I jammed with my band, drank a lot of beer, went to the beach, drank more beer, came home, sat in my front yard, and drank more beer. I'd say my entire life is pretty much composed of studying, music, drinking, and girls. Oh yeah and food. I don't have a girlfriend but usually its not too hard to meet cute girls in class and stuff. I've mostly met sorority chicks though so even if they are into me, they're usually busy every damn night of the week.

Mandy

Many groups on campus are very popular, specifically the greek scene and service fraternaties. I am involved with Alternate Break Corps, a group that leads trips out of the state to perform community service on weekend and spring break trips. Dorm life is very social, with many students leaving their doors open to welcome visitors. FSU football and basketball is the biggest events on campus, along with the annual FSU circus. Dating on campus is largely up to the indivual, with the exception of greek life, in which those members have access to a larger network of individuals. Off campus, there are movie theaters, bowling alleys, a HUGE club scene, many great resturaunts, two malls, and a national park. We are not far from a beach and have great weather all year long!

Megan

I would definitely say that greek life is huge on campus. EVERYONE on my floor of the dorm leaves their doors open. It is a lot of fun and I really feel like I found a family from living in the dorm. Athletic events are extremely popular, many people go to support FSU, especially if you live on campus.

Leslie

I'm involved in the Greek life at Florida State and it is a huge part of FSU's social life. Sororities and fraternities dominate the social scene as well as atheltics (whether participating or tailgating and attending) and philanthropies. Atheletic events are huge, we have an amazing sports program and the games whether football, basketball or baseball are so fun to watch! I met my closet friends through my sorority but have met others in my dorm and in my class. If I was awake on 2am on a Tuesday I would most likely be at the bars because Tuesdays and Thursdays are huge days to go out in Tallahassee with good drink specials and outdoor patios.

Jesse

Tennessee strip is the place to be

Dale

The most popular groups are frats/sororities. Students in dorms don't really leave their doors open. Athletic events are extremely popualar, especially football season. Guest speakers, concerts, shows and performances are also very popular here. I met my closest friends in my dorm, because that's how you'll meet most of your friends here unless you're in a sorority/frat. People go out to clubs/bars every day of the week but the most popular nights are Tuesday, Thursday and the weekend, of course. I usually go to frat parties or clubs. The Tennessee strip is very popular on Thursday nights. If you're not into drinking, there are plenty of opportunities to catch movies at the Student Life Center, concerts at Club Downunder/other venues, etc. But the party scene here is pretty big.

Lauren

Most popular groups on campus on Lady Spirithunters, Black Student Union, Hispanic-Latino/Latina Student Union, Modeling Troupes, fraternities/sororities and others. Lady Spirithunters is an amazing organization. We have intake once in the spring and that's all. No, most students do not leave doors open. Atheletic events, guest speaker and theater are popular. I met my closest friends in my dorm freshman year and also in my 8:00 english class! On Tuesday, 2 AM I am STUDYING! There is no dating scene. Homecoming is a tradition that happens every year! It's great! People party whenever! Fraternities and sororities depending on the type have huge status on campus. Last weekend, I went to sporting events and went to the movies with friends! On Saturday, you can bowl, go to the movies, hang at the diner, and even have video game night! Off campus, I hang with my family that lives in town!

Morgan

Most popular groups are SGA, Football/Basketball, Garnet and Gold Guides, Lady Spirithunters, BSU, CSA, and any sorority/fraternity. Im in the Gospel Choir. As far as leaving doors open, some people did. Where Im from, people would steal your stuff if your door was left open, so I NEVER kept my dorm room door open.....NEVER. Football is popular. Dating scene is weak for me because there arent many black men to begin with! Met my closest friends when i was living in Kellum and through the GC. If Im awake at 2am, Im watching Family Guy and eating Papa John's! Homecoming and elections are every year. People party A LOT! Although, its the same tired scene and the same tired people...unless its homecoming weekend.Frats/Sororities are as important as you want them to be. Last weekend, I was in the house studying for my anatomy lab test. Saturday nights without drinking......why would you want to do that? I guess the movies, or a club. Off campus, there's church.

Emily

SGA is pretty popular. So are intramural sports (soccer, football) Athletic events are very popular. Our city gets so crammed with traffic on sporting days. On a Tuesday at 2 a.m. I would be studying if not sleeping. Frats and Sororities are very important. They are everywhere! last weekend I worked and went out to a club for the first time in a long while. I also studied.

Amanda

The most popular team is Football, followed by baseball and basketball. In the more social dorms the doors are left open (Smith, Kellum, Salley). Athletic events are really popular, especially football. Don't move your car after Thursday night of a home football game weekend, you won't find parking anywhere near campus after that.
