There isn't a particular type of person that shouldnt go here, per-say. The only people that would come to mind would be unenthusiastic people with little motivation because without motivation and enthusiasm it would be hard to go to class and work towards their degrees. This school offers a lot to students and is growing every year with new programs.

The people that shouldn't attend Johnson & Wales university are the people that can not commit to what they really want to pursue. They really want to go there for something they really love most. They should be a mature adult knowing what is to come from JWU.

I would recommend Johnson and Wales University to any student!

The type of person who shouldn't attend Johnson & Wales is a person who wants to party their trimesters away. JWU is very serious about maintaining a 3.0 GPA, and if you are more concerned with partying you will surely get behind in your studies and fail out. JWU can be pretty leinient but they know when students aren't trying and just partying away. Since JWU is a dry campus, if you have intentions of drinking like crazy you may want to reconsider. You only get 3 strikes and depending on the circumstance, you may only get one.

A shy, withdrawn person who dislikes cities.

A person who is academicly driven but also wants to be able to enjoy the college experience and have a little fun. The best of both worlds type thing.

A person who should not attend Johnson and Wales University is someone looking for a party school and who is not serious about their future and/or what they would like to do in life.

If you do not plan on striving for the best you can do, this school is not really for you. At Johnson & Wales, it is not about doing THE best, but rather, doing YOUR best. Professors and Chefs watch you to see what potential you may possess and if you are not striving to reach your full potential, the professors and chefs will absolutely see that.

People who want easy way "out" should not attend Johnston and Wales University. The school is dedicated to give you great education and you have to be commited and take education very serious.

Anyone wanting to have the full college experience. The degree programs are very limited.

liberal arts major; this school is a career-focused university, great for students who know where they want to end up when they graduate. Mostly business, event management and culinary majors

A person who does not like a small school atmosphere.

The type of person that shouldnt attend this school are people or a person that don't enjoy or want to make a perfesson out of cooking and culinary arts. Of course my school offer other majors besides culinary arts but this is what this school is pretty much made for. If someone can't afford to pay the really high tuition then i wouldnt recommend them attending this university.

When people think of college, they thhink of parties and drinking. A person who only comes to college to party and does not care about school should not attend this school.

The kind of person that shouldnt attend johnson & wales university is a student that is unfoucsed. That is because this school is such a career foucused school. If you come and are just wanting to party and have a good time then you wont be successful at this school. the students that come here are focused and willing to put in the work that is needed and much more to help jump start there futures into the direction they want to go.

People who tend to be uninspired and unambitious certainly should not attend this school. Each and every student has a goal in mind, and they are willing to work very hard to attain it.

Somone who can put in quality work and devote themselves to their major. It's important that students don't get sucked up in college life too much. You cannot procrastinate here.

A person who isn't determined to work hard and show up to all classes shoudln't attend Johnson & Wales University. Going to college doesn't mean slacking off. Students and their parents are using a lot of money to attend college and it doesn't make sense to throw it away for something that can change your life.

Johnson and Wales is not a school for a person who is not motivated and ambitious. The trimester schedule passes quickly and requires self-discipline to keep up with the assignments. In addition, anyone who is not interested in attending a widely diverse campus in an exciting city should not attend. JWU is made up of people from many cultures and is located in a city where there is a wide variety of activities.

People who are unmotivated, unsure of what they really want, and are not willing to participate in class and become imvolved in new things. You need know that this is what you want before you waste yours and your chefs time. They donate multiple hours teaching us the ins and outs of cooking and the least we can do it try our hardest to succeed in everything we do.

You should not attend if you're not serious about being a culinary student and your only interested in putting in the most minimal time necessary to graduate. Attending a culinary school means you have to be prepared for a different experience. There are strict rules designed to keep sanitation and to keep everyone safe. Not only are you to do a good job for yourself, but you also have to lend a hand to your fellow classmates. It's very important that everyone works as a team and if you can't do that, then please dont come.

At this school, student comiing to eat and party should just stay home. There is time to have a good time but the attendence and behavior policies are strict and if nto followed you may find you are wasting time and money because you could be kicked out or have to re-take multiple classes.

This school is for any kind of people.

Someone who doesnt like change.

The type of person who should attend is a person that is very focused and knows what they want to do. The majors at this school are very specific and most students know exactly what they want to do when they graduate. They should also be willing to attend class everyday, the school has a very strict policy that does not allow more than 2 cuts for each class. The person must be motivated, know what they want and must like the city setting of the campus.

i believe if you don't know what you want or if you're looking for a hideout after high school, this place is no good for you.

Everyone can attend this school. It all depends on what you like. Whether it be business or culinary related. If you want to do something else then this school might not be for you.

Someone who isnt open minded or interested in their main Majors that it offers.

Someone who fully intends to live in a dorm all 4 years.

Students who want a "traditional" education with lecture halls, a "campus" surronding, etc.

Some one who can't afford it. That's the only thing I struggle with. I'm going to be paying loans back for the rest of my life. Most students here have rich parents that pay for everything., and they will graduate without any debt.

Someone who does not adjust well to groups of people from different races/ethnicites/cultures. The campus I attended is extremely diverse.

The person who's just looking for a great social life and not ready nor committed to hard work and dedication.

Someone is not focused and will get side tracked very easily and is lazy

People who are unwilling to try and work hard.

Aperson that is well focused on what they want to do. I'm a culinary mayjor and you need to love to cook or you will be miserable everyday that your here. Love what you do and learn everything that you can of that mayjor before singing up for it.

People who dont like living a small state, Who cannot handle tough chefs who take no games. People not focused of their future. People who dont like having fun and hate cooking. People who cannot handle extreme winters and finally people who dont like water because this school is harborside. Easly stressed out individuals.

i think everyone should come to this school no matter if your a geek, jock, nerd, gay, white, or black.

Anyone who doesn't like the city should not attend this school. Even though Providence is not that big of a city, it is only getting larger and any students who are looking for a traditional campus, will not find it at Johnson & Wales. In a way, the building at the school are just like other buildings in the city, which I personally believe makes the University unique. The many different historic areas of the old city and college areas allow for new students to explore Providence and feel comfortable.
