Liberty University Top Questions

What kind of person should not attend this school?

David

This school is a conservative Christian university. Liberty isn't as bad as most conservative universities as far as dress codes and such, but they still have some guidlines. There are moderate rules on how dating couples can act in public and such, but the school officials don't get in your face too much about it. Anyone who would have a hard time dealing with a conservative Christian environment will definitely find things difficult here.

Stephen

A person that is not willing to learn. If there is a person that considers taking classes from Liberty, whether online or as a resident, he should have a strong desire to increase his knoowledge. Along with this anyone considering Liberty University should have a love and desire to see God glorified, because that is the true mission of Liberty University.

Nathan

If you love to party on the weekend, have lots of friends come over, a boyfriend cannot spend the night in your dorm if your'e a girl and vice versa if your'e a boy. There arent ay co-ed dorms, the school doesnt offer sororities or fraternities, there are limited amounts of diversity between the professors, the school is VERY Republican and conservative, the school isnt in a big city. I believe Liberty is the type of school that should be considered for all types of people. Even if you do not necessarily agree with their philosophy or teachings, you will leave knowing your faith and beliefs were at the least challenged. It is the type of experience that will help you to truly develop a firm foundation in what you believe.

I believe strongly that this school changes everyone that attends, for the better. If there is a student that is going to college just to party and not learn anything, I would recommend them go to another school. This school is challenging, but not just academically. Liberty will turn students into young adults, and prepare them for the real world. We don't just learn how to behave or what we will need to know for a job (although, those are important) we also learn how to go into the world bringing hope, and a postive attitude.

My opinion to this question is that anyone can attend Liberty University and enjoy it. A person who would not like the school would be someone who views college as a time to party, use drugs, and waste their lives. Liberty University encourages and trains up Champions for Christ and will help to enstill morals and values within the minds of emerging adults. The kind of person who should not attend this school is someone who is in rebellion to rules and authority, other than that all are welcome!

Liberty University is amazing school for Christians seeking to grow in evangelical, conservative values. I discovered my spouse, my future career, and my best friends through my experience at LU. I made amazing contacts through the campus that have allowed me to have a great outlook in job field. Those who advocate liberalism, postmodernism, or atheism will enjoy the benefits of the servanthood and kindness that permeates the campus; however, the gospel will prove to be an ever-present element of offensiveness throughout the non-Christian's college career.
