What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Natalia

some of the staff members show up to get paid but don't event try to do their job.

Bianca

Aside from the parking lot wars held almost everyday, I would say not knowing what your grade is until the very end is extremely frustrating.

Brianna

The most frustrating thing about Miami-Dade College is the fact that I can't take all my coursework in one campus. I have classes at the campus which is 15 minutes from my home and other classes which I have to take downtown, which means I have to do two kinds of transportation by car and by train to get to my school. The downtown classes are approximately an hour and half in transportation.

Tiuska

The most frustrating thing about my institution is their Financial Aid Office. The fact that they are always losing important documents, such as copies of citizenship or Tax Return Transcripts, it's really upsetting and disappointing. Also, when they give false approvals telling students: "Yes, your FASFA is completed; nothing is missing." Afterwards, your first day of class arrives and you discover your classes were dropped. That's what happened to my mother who is also enrolled. They are very inconsistent with what they communicate. The best financial aid assistance is given by academic advisers and financial specialists with appointments.

Madison

There are too many students so its almost impossible to get in contact with most staff in the student services department.

Vanessa

The most frustrating thing would definitely be the lack of parking spaces.

Ray

The most frustrating thing about Miami Dade College is that sometimes, the resources the college has to offer can be a pain to deal with such as: registration and financial aid.

Cristina

The most frustrating thing about Miami Dade College is the advisement department. Most of the students going into college do not have the slightest clue as to what they want to do for a living, how to enroll for classes nor know which classes are needed to take in order for them to fufill the requirements to move on. The advisement department have consultants that do not care or have the fundamental knowledge to direct students, new or recurring, to the path that they need to go take based on their major.

Sophia

The most frustrating thing about my school was the constant change which I did not like, because once I was getting to know my professor and my classmates the semester was coming to a close.

Lina

Not being able to find the right class acording with my schedule, but most of the time I've been able to fit my time, and accomodate my classes.

jason

I guess the parking and the food could be better

Kassandra

One of the most frustrating points about my school happens to be the courses being occupied quickly. I believe the organization has to implement more classes with more professors. Everything else about Miami Dade College is absolutely wonderful.

MARIA

The most frustrating thing about my school is the parking, sometimes it is hard to find a parking spot close to the class.

Jonathan

Easily the most frustrating thing isn't inherent in the school itself; its the negative perception associated with it. I've had friends who I talk to during winter break, for instance, and after telling them how difficult the Fall Term was, they'd respond with, "Well, its just Miami Dade College. Its not like you're going to FIU. Now that is a tough school". Its the exact same education. I don't get angry, however, because I know that i'm paying over $1000 less a semester than they are.

Beatriz

You have to be awake and focused in your goals; and if you have any doubt go ahead and ask for advises.

Simone

That they don't have enough student advisers for international students

Patricia

I believe the most fustrating aspect of Miami Dade is there Financial Aid department. The process is complicated and the resources for the students are limited.

Nathan

I honestly cannot think of a single frustrating thing about Miami Dade College. All the faculty and staff are helpful and friendly, it is easy to find your way around, and the campus in general is a nice place to be.

Ashley

Miami dade is a great school nation wide. Many different type of diversities attend Miami dade. I have learned the fundamentals while I've been there as well. However, I do wish their financial aid office was more organized. Lastly, I would've liked if all students wouldn't have had to take 60 credit hour courses in order to recieve an AA . I would've liked instead to take the fundamental courses according to their major and take an acceptance test for that major.

Katherine

The most fustrating thing was the financial aid office and lines. I'm going to expand on those problems in the form of advices. Get finaid done in advance. (people wait until the last minute - line is LONG) Make a copy of your taxes (make 2 in case some how it magically gets lost) Bring documents in advance (I cannot stress the importance of copies) get advice from the adults at finaid if it looks teenish don’t go to them if it’s a serious question, and get a ticket in advance because the wait time is *fun*.

Diamond

Honestly, there is nothing a student can find frustrating at Miami Dade. This school provides new college students with a fresh start at an easy pace and there is not much pressure, if any at all. There is always something to do at this school and many students enjoy attending Miami Dade.

Amariah

The most frustrating thing about my school is the Financial Aid Office's slow pace in approving and ditributing the funds needed by the students. It takes the school about 5 to 6 months after the start of the Fall semester to approve and distribute the financial aid grants that were needed for the Fall semester. I ended up incuring debts that could hae been avoided had the funds arrived in a timely fashion.

Bernard

The most frustrating thing about my school registering. A lot of the staff is extremely rude and half the time really don't know whats going on around them or even what they're doing. Majority of them are work-study students so they're obviously just there for a paycheck and not to help. Otherwise, I love my school.

Jemila

The most fustrating thing is that they dont provide Agenda books. So u never really know wats going on untill it happends and you have no time to prepare. Another thing is the teacher (depending on who) can be so fustrating some cant teach, most of the math teachers cant speak English fluently.

Noel

the student chairs are to small

Devin

I really don't have any problem with the collage campus so far, except for the fact the computer courtyard is too loud and rowdy most of the time, but it's not that big of a problem.

Frank

Probably the most frustrating part is the environment. Environment plays a huge role in determining your education and can be a huge influence in the choice of mayor.

IVETTE

The most frustrating issue that my school carries is for their notorious organization. Waiting in line for an unimportant issue becomes a four hour waiting, so as a result, when you are up, it lasts just 15 minutes. Their organization on file documentation is slow. Instead of spending at least for 2 months, it lasts for 5 months.

John

The most frustrating thing about Miami Dade College is the financial aid office and the searching for available classes.

Paul

The financial aid department. The people that work at the front are unorganized and don't seem to care at all about the well being of the students. However it is quite the opposite with the director of the financial aid department, Manaud Daphnis. He is always considerate and has helped me in many ways. He keeps the department running, wether or not the people who work there want to to anything to help.

crystal

The most frustrating thing about my school is the book store, i pay 100 dollars for a book then only get back 15 for selling it back.

Ericka

All of the buildings look the same so it can be a little difficult to find the right one, but not impossible.

Ermeise

I Love my school.
