Middle Tennessee State University Top Questions

You can pretty much spend the entire four years of college on campus and not lack for much. There's restaurants (Quiznos', Chik-fil-a, Subway, Mexican, Sushi bar, Starbucks, and two homestyle buffets, one of which is all you can eat.) A dry goods type grocery store that carries apparel as well, a movie theater, the Rec center with a multiple swimming pools, lots of excercise equipment, and indoor soccer field, as well as lot's of cool classes you can take there. There's also a banking center, post office, and movie rental place.

I intensely hate MTSU and Murfreesboro. The past few years have been miserable. I have considered transferring schools many times, but never did because it's more affordable. In everything you do at MTSU, you hit a wall at every turn; almost everyone who works there seems to enjoy sending students on endless pursuits in search of whatever kind of help they need. I hear reports all the time about students being attacked on campus by criminals; look up Murfreesboro on familywatchdog.us, it's almost funny. The town is filled with sex offenders and meth addicts.

I wish that the money was more diversified among the different academic areas. It seems like a majority of the money that MTSU has goes to the sports. I understand that they are important too. but we don't always need a brand new stadium that cost $1 million dollars. There are other things on campus that need attention such as some of the buildings that don't have elevators for handicap people, or more bathrooms, classrooms, etc.

There is nothing I regret about attending MTSU except for the fact that I didn't make the most of it the first two years that I attended. I didn't begin to become involved on campus until my Junior year and ever since I have had the time of my life. It will easily by one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I have made friends that will last a lifetime and have developed as an adult in ways that I cannot see myself having developed had I attended a different institution.

MTSU is a cool little place. I do wish I could change some things about my experience here but overall, I wouldnt change much. Anyone who comes here just needs to take every opportunity that comes and make the most of their time here.

MTSU is one of the best institution of learning in the country

MTSU gets the least amount of money per student than any other college in Tennessee which holds us back in major ways. This really frustrates me a lot but there is not a whole lot we can do about it. Also, MTSU's tuition is very cheap, so that leaves more money for things like Studying Abroad-which I would definitely recommend!
