Mount Ida College Top Questions

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Shelley

I wish i had known how hard it was going to be to be this far away from home, and how much my new friends would help with that.

Christopher

How small it was actually going to be. How far Boston actually was from campus. How large of a workload my major was going to entail as well as the amout of time I was going to devote to my major, the lack of sleep I was going to get and the financial need that I need to do well in it has become problematic.

Brittany

Nothing. I asked all the questions I wanted to know and they were all answered accurately.

Sarah

I wish that I could have known I was going to need to take electives unrelated to my major. Had I known this, I would have gone to a cheaper school to get those classes done. This way the $23000 per year spent would be toward core classes.

Kali

I wish I had known that the students at this school would act like 'gangsters' because we are closer to the city and there are some inner city kids living at my school. I also wish I knew people before coming to the school.

There is honestly not alot of things that I would wish to have known before coming to Mount Ida College. When I first arrived for pre-season football I was really nervous, because I didn't know anybody when the first team meeting came around. The people here are very accepting and easy to get along with so it made my decision to come here alot more relieving. I mean the only thing I really wish to have known before I came here was that the tuition is a little high, but aren't all colleges.

I wished I would have known the job rate placement after graduating with a degree that cost $35,000 a year which my mom is struggling to help me afford now. I feel as if Mount Ida should be involved in a lot more activites outside of the school.
