The worst thing about Newberry College would have to be the parking. There are very limited parking lots available to sudents. Our student parking consists of students staying on campus and commuters.
I believe that some of the living conditions were better in some of the dorms. Also how much of the CORE classes can affect your GPA.
The worst thing about Newberry College I would say, is probably the dorms. It is not the "Worst" thing, it is the most frowned upon. The dorms have been the same since my father attended Newberry College back in the late '70s. The dorms are acceptable to live in, and for the most part if the students would take care of them, things would be better. The dorms are what you would expect from a small private college that has been around for a very long time. They are not brand new and classy like D1 Universites and Colleges.
Not alot of things to do in the town, sometimes you have to make your own fun.
Social Life.... Theres not a lot to do here on the weekends
The worst thing about Newberry College is money. The professors do not get paid enough for their endearing profession. There is not enough money for our school to keep up with the technology of other larger univerisities. Along with technology, our facilities are out of date and eithen need to be fixed or replaced. Also, I feel the athletic programs need more money to aid the coaches and allow the coaches to be more successful. Strong athletic teams can be a great recruiting tool for future classes.
The worst thing about my school is the sports equipment. (sometimes) I say this because sometimes we really do lack in some of are training equipment and it hurts us. But most of the time we do just fine with what we have and win with what we have.
