The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Football, football, football.
The best damn band in the land.
Ohio State is probably best known for either its football program or its size. When I tell people I went to OSU they often say things like "Oh, that school is too big for me." and other such things. But I tell those people that OSU's size is actually a benefit because of the wealth of opportunities at one's disposal. Its size is also misleading because one's major courses are usually held in the same areas of campus and with the same people, thereby shrinking the effective size of the campus.
The strong academics and athletics.
Being Buckeyes! Whether cheering on the football team or just walking around campus, Ohio Staters are famous for our support and love for our school. Go Bucks!

football and other sports. Medical center / medical school. Other professional schools such as law, business, engineering, etc.
Football. Thats plain and simple.
Ohio State is best known for athletics, especially football. The students are very proud of the team, but sometimes we feel that it overshadows other exceptional qualities in the minds of too many people. For example, the school has been ranked in the top 20 p ublic universities in the country for years, but that just doesn't receive the same hype in the general public.
Ohio State may be best known for its Athletics program; with over 35 sports, OSU is one of the only schools that makes a profit on the athletics department. Football Saturdays on campus are intense and amazing, and our rivalry with Michigan is a long standing tradition. Come to campus prepared to take part in the captivating school spirit.
High Standards. We strive to be the best in everything we do; from academics, research, both undergraduate and graduate, clubs, extra curricular activities, and athletics. We have the biggest athletic department in the country, and host many great events in our state of the art venues.
