What is your overall opinion of this school?

I am sick of my friends that attend larger schools telling me that OWU is too small. A school must fit the person, and OWU's small campus is just right for those who dont want to get lost in the hustle and bustle of the overwhelming college lifestyle. OWU offers the perfect size because it's easy to make and keep intouch with friends but also stay away from people you don't like or want to see. I see new people everyday at "the WU" and there are alot of people that I hardly run into. Class sizes are perfect,..your teachers know you, but its not to small that you feel the pressure of being the only one in the room.

OWU is a great school. Depending on your background, though, there is a 50{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} chance you will HATE it. I know tons of people who love it here. They are the ones who are very involved in sports, greek life, clubs, student govt, etc. Unfortunately, though, an equal number of people hate it. The freshman class is always very large compared to the upper classes, to compensate for the number of people who will transfer. I, myself, have had a pretty good experience here. The parties are pretty good for such a small school, the people are friendly (although, at times, the drama seems very middle school), and the campus is nice. The downside, though, is that the townspeople really dislike OWU students. The police look for any chance to bust you, and the people who live around here can be pretty rude. Even though I like OWU, I am transferring, because it is VERY COLD here! I'm from Arizona and 120 degree weather, so winter here was pretty brutal. Also, the good majors here are kind of limited.
