Almost every student here is on a sport team. The whole student population is very dedicated to their sport. I love that students here have the chance to play their sport and very few sit on the bench during games.
One of the best things about Rockford College is living on such a small campus. You get to know a diverse range of people, from kids involved in sports to kids involved in the Gay and Lesbian club. At Rockford College, you will become friends with people that you never thought that you would become friends with before, and probably have some of those same friends in many of your classes. It allows you to get a taste of the real world, but also experience the same things through the eyes of other people.
Financial aid is really excellent here! The amount of community service activities is vast and phenomenal. The professors are really great and willing to help you learn. The staff and faculty are friendly and always available and willing to help out. There are a lot of internship opportunities available. Small class sizes are a huge plus! The counselling department is really amazing and always helpful. The athletics are pretty involved.
Actually, I attend Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, but I did not see my school or city in the survey, so I picked Rockford College, because that is the closest school to my home. ( I grew up in Rockton). I have been answering the survey questions based on my experience at Loras College. I love Loras College because it fits me like a glove, and I know that is where I'm supposed to be. I've had some amazing professors so far, and I've been given great opportunities. The friends I have now I will have for life.
Small classrooms. It allowed for great interaction with fellow students and classroom discussions. The small classrooms assisted with being able to get to know most of my classmates. This interaction caused me to have a more comfortable learning environment.
I love that Rockford College has such small and individualized classes. I know all of my professors quite well and we are able to have wonderful discussions in class due to the small class size. In fact, this was a major selling point for Rockford College when I was making the decision on the school I would attend.
