St John’s University-New York Top Questions

There is a plethera of strip malls. You have dunkin dougnuts, $1 pizza, shooping etc

You can exit campus through nine different gates. There's about three gates that lead you to the most populated area for students. Gate three and four leads you to the street called Union Turnpike. Through out that street there are many eating spots like subway, a pizza place, a few restaurants,cold stone and sushi. There is also a Barnes and Noble and a chase, which are very convenient. Located right outside the gates are buses that can take you to several places, depending on your needs, like a mall or movie theatre.

Houses, mostly. It's in a nice, somewhat wealthy area of Queens and surrounded by mostly residential homes and, on Union Turnpike, some stores (Barnes & Noble, Dunkin, 711, random food, banks, etc).

There is really nothing around St.John's University Staten Island. Mostly large Mansions and concrete, although compared to the rest of the city there is a large amount of grass and trees. There is a large apartment complex which is used as the dormitories for both our campus and Wagner University, besides that there is not much in the immediate surrounding area. If you really want to get somewhere and see something you need a car, or have to take the bus.
