I find the question about the four tables quite interesting. It poses such a general question that when narrowed could either offend, enlighted, or give that "that is so true" laugh. I am one not to be bound by such frivolities as holding back so.... Table one is predominately Black table. It is a group of about ten with six males and 4 females. They are dressed in usual Roc-a-wear/FuBu heavy jackets with Timberland boots. A few have hats with either every MLB or NBA team on them. The color scheme is usually black and tan with a white T-shirt underneath the jacket. The girls have tight-fitting sweatsuits, with something like "Sugar Baby" written in sparkles on the butt. Mixed colors of pink and baby blue are predominant. Most of the girls have long, tightly braided hair with a few having puffy, curly hair. Occassionally you will have a white male join the group dressing similarly or a Latino female. It depends on the group. Table two is predominately white. Usually the types floating from Middle to Upper-Middle class white suburban. Ten is about the number with male:female ratios ranging from 2:1 to 3:2. The are dressed in a mixuture of Old Navy, GAP, American Eagle, or Aero close. Depending on the crowd you can have the addition of a "popped collar group" or add a flair of the Hot Topic for some punk rockers floating around. Yes I can nice and didn't Emo....oops it slipped. The girls usually can be found with GAP hoodies or in a white T-shirt and short shorts. Sneakers are the casual footwear for the group. On Table three, we have the Asian group. Usually found in the corner of the room, the group can be as low as 5 but upwards to 20. The ratios can change from 1:1 to 10:1, male:female, but are usually predominately male. The males can be dressed in cargo pants and a T-shirts, but at other times seen with a button shirt and khakis. The femlaes can be seen in jeans and darker t-shirt, but also a skirt depending on the time of year. Table 4 is the table we all aspire to. That is a table that is completely mixed. Table four is the combination of all three tables. Even though the other tables make it almost a point to stay to their groups, they still ingore the diversity of Table 4. The ratios can be whatever group of friends happen to be there at the time, and the race can be whoever. This is the table that relfects what Temple students should strive for. A table where anyone can sit, as long as your not an asshole. Then, well, you the get the corner.
