We are definitely best known for our school spirit and conservative ideals. Texas A&M is one of the top-ranked conservative universities in the nation, and we are well-aware and proud of it! But even more important to us is our honor; being an Aggie is a defining characteristic of every individual on our campus. It's hard to explain in words, so I'll use one of my favorite quotes to maybe explain a little better: "From the outside looking in you can't understand it; from the inside out you can't explain it."

Texas A&M University is known for its spirit, tradition and heritage. The Aggie network is a strong connection among all Aggies past and present. Aggies are all family, no matter your gender, ethnicity, major or economic standing. A&M is very proud of its student organizations and have over 800 campus affiliated groups run by students. I have never met an Aggie who is not proud of their university.

Academics: Engineering, Agriculture, Military Science, Business, International Studies, Architecture, Etc. Social: Texas A&M isn't so much a large consortium of students as it is a family. Although we have a huge campus with over 45,000 undergraduate students, you'll feel like you know everyone around you as soon as you get here. Everyone looks out for each other and there's never a feeling of judgement or discomfort in social situations. Extracurricular: More clubs and organizations than you could imagine. From fraternities and sororites to car clubs, cigar clubs, and political organizations. It's all here.

Arielle

A&M is best known for its school spirit and the Aggie Honor Code. A lot of people say that A&M makes the most noise at home football games. A&M considers the 12th Man the student body, so students stand during the football games in support of the players. There are a lot of traditions that are fun and interesting, such as saying "Howdy!" as a form of greeting. The Aggie Honor Code emphasizes honesty and integrity. Cheating is not tolerated and tends to be immediately punished in one form or another.

Laura

My school is best known for its traditions. Aggies are known for having specific ways of doing things, such as football games. We don't have cheer leaders, we don't need them. Instead, we cheer for out team, and we call ourselves the 12th man to symbolize that each of us is willing to jump in and play the game if need be. We all support each other, and aggies across the nation are kind and helpful to other aggies upon first meetings in whatever location.

Terry
