Texas A&M is a good university for people who are nervous about going to college. Texas A&M is a welcoming school with a friendly student body with plenty of opportunities to get involved in whatever area they would like to be involved in. Texas A&M is a conservative school, but still allows for a diversity. I would recommend Texas A&M to all students, except to students that want to be cause problems. A&M is like one big family, and we don't need anything or anyone to disturb it.

Texas A&M at College Station makes it a very strong point to the students that acceptance, tolerance, and a family like atmosphere are the keys to success. The kind of people who should not attend Texas A&M are only concerned with themselves. Aggies constantly strive to help each other succeed and if someone does not reciprocate that attitude they will have a hard college career at A&M.

TAMU has a huge campus and lots of opportunities, but that may feel overwhelming or impersonal for some people. If you are in a small major or are in the Honors Dorm, you can still get a small college feel. The Aggie spirit unites all of us, but if a particularly close-knit campus is your top priority and you know exactly what you want to do, then go ahead and apply to a small liberal arts college. If you are thinking at all about becoming an engineer, it would be foolish not to apply here, though.

Someone who does not like crowds; the kind of person who prefers to keep to themselves and has no interest in sports (Or if you have a disdain for cowboy hats and boots). A&M is a very social school that puts a huge emphasis on getting involved and meeting people. There is a plethora of clubs and organizations a student can join. There are thosands of people attending Texas A&M, so if a person isn't fond of large groups of people and is looking for a school where everybody knows everybody they should look elsewhere.

Someone that is not serious about studying should probably not go do this college. The classes are tuff and you can't get away with not studying.

A very politically liberal person who is intolerant of conservative thinking should not atten this school. The majority of students here are conservative Christians, although professors come from many different backgrounds.

There's definitely no one that shouldn't attent Texas A&M University. I was worried it would be a bunch of Texans with Southern accents, but the group of people I first met were all extrememly diverse. I would recommend that anyone and everyone should apply here because they offer such a great environment no matter who you are.

I think anyone can come to my school but for a person who is studying medical, business, and other majors such as those, they would have a stronger education if they went to a school more structurally designed for those specific majors. Otherwise, I still think people should attend my school. There are a lot of opportunities at my school that people could benefit from with what ever type of major a person is studying.

Texas A&M is all about school spirit. Someone without pride our school should not attend. Our school revolves around teamwork and the love and support we give our fellow Aggies, so no one cold hearted or hateful should attend A&M!

People who don't like to be involved in a community or contribute to the world around them should not come to Texas A&M because this school is one of the most spirited in the country. It is also challenging academically, so if you lack self-discipline and motivation, A&M is probably not for you.

Students majoring in Liberal Arts as the school emphasizes engineering, business and veterinary programs. Also, students who would prefer an urban setting as the city population is mostly made up of students. Finally, students who would prefer a small school with under 40,000 students enrolled and schools that do not invest vast resources on athletic programs. A large majority of the student population is conservative and the city reflects these values. There is no room for differing viewpoints at Texas A&M.

I believe, and this goes for any college, that you shouldn't enrole till you know what you want to do. If you are going just because it's the next step and do not really know where you want it to take you you should not be going. I think you need to find out what your passions are first and figure out what you what to do for the rest of your life.

I think any person can attend this school. The only exception would be someone who is very liberal because this is a very conservative school but if you are open minded them anyone could attend this school.

There is no group of people that are not accepted at A&M, everyone gets along with everyone, that's why I love it so much here. People are mature enough to respect everyone else's perspectives and way of life. There are very few closed minded people here at A&M, and they are usually freshman. This school is very accepting and inviting.

A person who is focused on the liberal arts as a career. Some one who is far left liberal and out spoken about it, sometimes people don't get along well with them. Also if you are not patriotic and do not have a deep respect for the military and tradition. This used to be a military school when it was founded.

A student who merely wants to get a degree should not attend A&M because we are focused on expression, individuality and a common school spirit shared by every student.

Shy or quiet people might have a hard time because it is so large and friendly. It is very hard to find a place to be by yourself.

A coy, independent person should not attend this university. Texas A&M is a very active school when it comes to extracurriculars, whether it be sports, clubs, or social events. Traditions and camraderie are defining elements of this institution, and in order for these to exist the student body needs to remain active, which it undoubtedly is. I believe that if you're the kind of person who wants to get through college without being very involved with campus-life, then this probably is not the place for you.

Someone who needs real culture and art. For example, there aren't really any comedy clubs, very limited music choices, and a pretty homogenous student population. There aren't very good musicals and shows to see on a regular basis. Sometimes it gets to feeling very stifling.

If you are a person that is young and want to party and slack off you will fail. You must be prepared for everything at this school. You will learn honor and respect. You will get the finest education in a military atmosphere. You have to be able to except any and all criticism. If you are a person that makes small mistakes and want to learn on how to correct the university will help correct and show you how to adapt to your mistake. The wick will not survive. You must be elite, smart, witty and adaptable to change.

Anyone who has strong liberal feelings or really enjoys an artistic community shouldn't attend Texas A&M.

If you don't like deeply engrained traditions, dedicated leaders, a volunteer environment, class unity, accross the board comaraderie, academic excellence, beautiful scenery or an opportunity for life long frienships, then I would not suggest Texas A&M.

Someone who is motivated, spirited, family oriented, etc. Texas A&M has more traditions and customs than any other school I can think of. It has a rich history that every student is proud to be a part of. If you want to wear your college ring and be recognized anywhere in the world, come to Texas A&M.

Someone who is not going to take full advantage of the tradition and spirit that this school has. You have to netweork to do well and this school is full of possible ways to network. If you won't take school serious and know how to keep stress level down, don't attend.

A&M is an extremely conservative school. Someone with extreme liberal views would not feel comfortable here. There is not much emphasis on artistic and creative thinking here. While the person might still be welcomed they might benefit more from a more liberal-arts oriented school.

Hardcore liberals and University of Texas aficionados should probably stay away.
