What's unique about your campus?

Juan Carlos

Texas A&M is considered to be among the friendliest campus in the nation. I find this to be extremely important in the way the students interact with each other and create a working environment. My school is also well known in many sports and in research studies and other academic areas. I find all of these things to be really important because it shows the well roundedness of the students that attend this school and that it doesn't focus on just one area of study like many other schools.

Neal

The atmosphere of students attending is the best thing about the school. Each student you meet will be glad to help you no matter what and is willing to befriend a complete stranger. Compassionate, kind and thoughtful are a few words to describe not only the students but the faculty and staff. The school's culture sets it apart from others by be open, honest and proud.

Kirsti

Going to A&M is like becoming part of an enormous family composed of current students and alumni, and this is something that will last forever, not just while you are actually attending school. I loved coming to A&M because I was welcomed with open arms and enthusiasm. It makes me feel like I am important and not just one fish in a giant ocean.

Kyle

The Aggie community goes all over the world. Graduates of this school always accept each other as friends on site. Although the student organizations are usually very competitve, A&M has more organizations than any other shcool in the nation. This allows you to find something to get involved in fitting to your personality.

Katie

The best think about Texas A&M University is the tradition and determiniation of the student body. I've never seen such a strong student body through the many college campuses I have visited. This is what made Texas A&M stand out to me.

Letitia

From the moment I first visited this school, the friendliness oozed from the campus. I have never met a student here at A&M that has not been open to helping anyone else around the community. Not too long ago there was an apartment fire in our community. It was amazing how many different organizations and groups on campus jumped at the oppurtunity to help the individuals who were victims of the fire. I absolutely love that about our campus!

Juliet

The best thing about Texas A&M is that all the students really are united as the Aggie family. Heck, even the teachers, parents, and former-students are your Aggie family. The Ags are really committed to helping each other and always show each other courtesy and kindness. Aggies always greet each other on campus and they are even friendly to rival football teams' fans on home gamedays. We treat everyone with respect.

Melody

The traditions at Texas A&M are the building blocks for the community of Aggie students. In every class, at every sports event, at every club meeting, the Aggie spirit and camraderie are tangible. Being a pre- vet student places me in many rigorous academic conditions, but I know that my prefessors, peers, and myself are all oriented towards the same goal of success, and that we all share the same common bond. Without the traditions of A&M, I would just be another student wandering around from class to class, but instead I get to be an Aggie.

Emily

Although Aggie jokes are just about the most common of them all, we A&M students are proud to attend this great university- and we make sure we have reason to be proud! As I mentioned before we pride ourselves on friendliness and community service, two things which one would not expect to encounter every day at such a large college campus! From the first day I stepped onto this campus, students and faculty have been going out of their way to make me feel at home- they are my loud, proud Aggie family.

Dustin

The school spirit is undeniable. It continues with current students, former students, and alumni alike. There are very few band wagon fans (fans that support the school just because it's popular at the time, but have no real tie to the school). Aggies continually set the trend in community service with programs like Big Event and Car Pool. The family like culture is tangible through efforts such as bonfire memorial, red white and blue out, and katrina relief efforts.

Sarah

At Texas A&M University the community on the campus is very nice and welcoming. I love that people say Howdy! when we pass. The Proffessors are also very nice and really want to help with homework or preperation for exams.

Chesley

Texas A&M has one of the largest student bodies in the country with almost 50,000, yet the traditions, dating back to the founding days in 1876 that are still flourishing today in every student and will continue to do so, make you feel as if you already know a perfect stranger that you might meet on campus; you never feel unwelcomed as you are always greeted with a friendly "Howdy" from an Ag.

Daniel

The sense of community. I have never felt so incorporated or involved as I do now. Even in another state, if I wear an A&M shirt I will have people coming up to say hi and talk to me about my school. I love the involvement and tradtion and the particiaption that each student during their stay and afterwards.

Heather

Clarissa

The quality of the education

Tammy

That is easy...tradition. Texas A&M University is proud of it's traditions and that is what makes it a great university to attend. There is no other university like it in the world, period.

Savannah

The best thing is the school spirit and pride. Just for being an Aggie there are so many networks and friends you can make. I cant wait to get my Aggie ring because when you see someone wearing it you can immediatly start up a conversation.

Rayen

The best thing about my school is how all of the professors are so willing to help and if they are unavailable to help, there are about a dozen of other places you can go to or ask a classmate as everyone is so nice here.

Luke

The massive size of campus; there are several places on campus I still haven't been. The places I have been have been clean, big, open, only rarely crowded and almost never overcrowded. There are some sterile places sure, but also plenty of beautiful spots (new students should be sure to find the Wholistic Gardens).

Meghan

I haven't found a person on this campus who is rude. From the moment you step onto the campus you immediately feel welcome. Every person that passes by smiles and says "howdy" and lets you know that this is a very special place to be. I dont think that any other school in the world can talk about their people and commitment to tradtion like A&M can. T radition is a huge part of being an Aggie and every person here wants to help the others get involved and feel like they are a part of something amazing.

Ariel

I feel that the best thing about my school are the traditions we engage in daily with students, friends, teachers, and the public. We have participated in most of our traditions for years and they continue to lead us in our amazing Aggie spirit. Our traditions help to bring everyone together as friends and students. They make the school feel more like our home rather than just a place to learn. It makes new-somers feel welcome and help to make them feel complete as a part of the Aggie family.

Jeffrey

The networking that occurs. Our campus is all about activities and getting involved. The people I have met through various parts of the university are some of my closest friends. OUr alumni network is very involved as well.

Elizabeth

The best thing about Texas A&M is the tradition. Walking around campus with everyone saying "Howdy" is one of the best things to happen with every one looking out for each other and inspiring everyone to do their best while here at Texas A&M University. There is such a commradery that is undeniable amongst the student body that makes meeting people and growing as a person that much better. It is more than just a school one goes to for academics, it is a school to learn about life as well.

Katherine

There is a wide variety of things you can do in your free time and many different interests at this school. I like this because it allows one to try many different things, from book clubs to religion to athletic and public service clubs. This allows people to meet others with their interests and make new friends. It also allows people to experience new ideas, cultures, and activities if they are interested in doing so.

Molly

This is truly the friendliest campus I have ever experienced. I have loved it here since the moment I moved in...everyone is everyone's friend, and will go out of their way to help you find something if you're lost. The school spirit is unlike any other school and it really just feels like we're one big family.

Nathanael

Texas A&M's history and tradition rich environment makes it stand out above the rest and is what I consider to be its best characteristic. Whether it be how the university started or all the traditions that have been around since it's beginning, students can truly feel the impact Texas A&M has and will have on their lives. "From the outside looking in, you can't understand it. And from the inside looking out, you can't explain it." It's something you just have to experience to understand its meaning and power.

Jihyae

Peers are very friendly, like minded and non-judgemental.

Frank

I think the best thing at A&M would be the environment we are surrounded by. Every individual on campus is open and friendly to each other never afraid to meet new people. We are one big family. The Aggie Family. Other schools, everybody keeps to themselves and their own lives and nobody cares for one another, but the environment here is completely different.

Sebastian

The best thing about Texas A&M is the feeling of being welcome. Everyone is studying for a goal and is looking to help the others out. It feels great to be working as hard as you can and realize that people are out there to help you when you need them.

Elisabeth

Out of the many great qualities found at Texas A&M University, I consider the best quality to be the emphasis placed on hard work. On my first day of chemistry, the professor said that he had made a C when he took it as a freshman. But he said that he was determined, and through hard work he was able to go to Havard and now researches various forms of cancer. Through him and other A&M faculty, I have learned that even the most intelligent people must learn to work hard to achieve their goals.

Morgan

Texas A&M is a unique university with alot to offer. Although, I believe the best quality of my school is the sense of family and loyalty. Texas A&M University is more than a college that helps us prepeare for the rest of our lives; it is the beginning of a new family that will last a life time. Aggies do not "lie, cheat, or steal" and these qualities set us appeart from others. The aggie family is one to be admired and I am proud to be apart of it.

Lucas

An Aggie football game! Where else in the nation do thousands of college students stand up the entire four hour game (yes, even including all of halftime), do "yells" to support the team (yes, one every few minutes for four hours), and accept baking in the Texas heat and humidity to fufill the 12 Man duties? Only in Aggieland! We all may leave the legendary Kyle Field with a new voice and far too red facial pigment for the week, but damn do we have a good time!

Jonetta

The best thing about my school be the fact that it has the major i need to become a veterinarian, which was very crucial to me in my decision. However since this is my first year, there are a lot of things I'm still getting used to so this may change as the years go by.

Sandy

Known for its rich heritage and long-standing traditions, A&M first and foremost fosters a school spirit unmatched in loyalty and pride. The network of alumni, current students, and fans of the university creates a bond between Aggies all over the world. This automatic appreciation for one another mimics that of a family - respect, solidarity, and most importantly, love.

Stephen

The best thing about Texas A&M is that everybody gets along. It doesn't matter what everybody's views are, Aggies can rally together with no problems. There is an Aggie family that everybody belongs to, including former students. If somebody ever needs help there is always somebody nearby to help them. After graduation you might run into a another former student, and just by the school ring there will be an instant bond. Once you are a member of the Aggie family you will never feel alone.

Martin

school spirit is a major part of A&M, and it is awesome.

Raven

The warmth of the students, faculty and staff is definitely a benefit, especially as a freshman or a new-comer, and there is a lot of help available for whatever you need academically, emotionally, etc. Overall, the support that Aggies have for one another is very unique to this university. We're not necessarily competing against one another, but strengthening ourselves to be the biggest competition with others when we graduate.

Hermien

The best thing about Texas A&M is the school spirit. There's nothing like it at any other university. We don't have cheer leaders, but manly yell leaders. At every major sporting event they stand infront of the student section and conduct the entire student body into one loud strong yell; a unified voice instilling fear into the opposing team. We are known for our friendly campus where the greating is a cheerful "howdy" no matter what. At the end of every speach a "gig'em" is offered to enforce the message and unify the audience.

Mary

Stephanie

The ability to get involved and get that "outside the classroom" education. A&M is very good at encouraging students to get involved and to give back to the community. Through this you make friends and connections and learn about the real world.

Stephen

The Aggie spirit is the best thing about my campus. The Aggie Spirit represents everyone who attends or has attended this school. It is a way to show that we are all connected through the school. In the future, it creates a network that is constantly hiring its own kind because they know that in Aggieland people work hard.

Jacob

The Fightin' Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets.

Jessica

The connection of the current students and alumni to each other and to the school. Anywhere you go if you meet an aggie, you automatically have a connection to them. Aggies are really friendly, and stay commited to the school and to eachother. We're like a big family, and I feel at home when I am on campus.

Laura

The althletic facility is really impressive. It's the perfect place to go when you need to relieve some stress or get your mind out of the books for a while.

Adria

The best thing about Texas A&M was the friendliness of the people on the campus. No matter where you went people always said hello to you and you could talk to anyone like you had known them forever. Whether it was on the bus, in class, at the library, or at a sporting event, people were open and friendly with each other.
