The amount of work necessary to do well at this institution is unbelievable. Our display of leadership qualities coupled with self-discpline and motivation make our school one of the best in the country. Not only do we work hard but we play hard as well. Our weeks spent studying and going to class are well worth the fun we have on the weekends, especially since we are not allowed to leave during the week.
I was qualified on an M16A3 assault rifle within three weeks of attending, and the tradition in the institution and the honor in its students. The Academy has an Honor Concept developed and enforced by those students, the midshipmen. I brag about the guarantee of a job upon graduation and the fact that I will be a commissioned officer when I graduate, leading America's sailors the in defense of freedom.
The speed of light was discovered at the Naval Academy. Our engineering and science departments are cutting edge, and on top of that, we teach our midshipmen leadership. It is very well rounded, and it sits right at downtown Annapolis (DTA).
The amount of opportunities I get to travel abroad (as well as throughout the country) as well as the many different things I have done through the military that most people will never get to do in their entire lives, let alone by age 20.
We all have 100% job security and only 10% of the applicants are accepted. It is a good place to go if you want to focus completely on academics and do not care about having a social life.
Tough academic and physical mission. How much work we put into everyday (our schedules) and the extra stuff we do for military training that sounds badass.
I can do things here that no one else can ever hope to do. Military gets lots of benefits. There are endless possibilities of careers upon graduation.
I brag about how amazing the people are, and how many opportunities are avaliable, especially the guarenteed job after school.
I don't have to worry about finding a job after graduation and there is a very strong alumni network that hires graduates.
Opportunity to travel, see things, and meet people that I would never have been able to do anywhere else.
